in my experience of dealers and manufacturers if they have any excuse at all not to do warranty work, they will seize the chance with both hands. but see it from there point of view where do you draw the line with modifications? They just have a blanket clause "any mods whatsover no warranty!" if you start adding engine mods they defo wont pay out if she blows

just a thought before I go to buy any car/motorbike I allways HPI check it , this will tell you the exact reg date model etc.. will save you a lot of wasted time and petrol

you can try, but the dealer will just say it was a mistake have you tried a private seller, there are in generally more honest than dealers in their descriptions
