Hmmm not sure mate, maybe Lomoto can confirm if its an option on JDM's - standard fit on the Uk cars
to be honest I have never had to use mine yet, but I did test them when I first got the car and they certainly got warm when the rear window heater switch was on and as far as I can gather a standard fit on all spec Zed's
I hads the Falken 452's on my 18" rims, superb tyre, excellent wet weather grip.. a lot better than the continentals I have fitted now, on the 19" wheels .. and obviously in a different league to the awful Bridgestones
was your battery flat when you got back?... try disconnecting battery and reconnecting... sometimes clears electrical gremlins... chip for conversion is at rear of speedo head, you will have to remove speedo assy completely to get at it to check connections..I would try battery dissconnect first..
Magnatec is Semi-Synthetic.
And no it won't do any harm if you were to mix a Full Synthetic with a Semi-Synthetic or mineral oil.
any oils, better than no oil

I like them if your under the bonnet a lot they do help, just quite a bit of work to make them fit, there's how to post I did somewhere
I will look that up , cheers
may want a "P2" service about £200 at main dealers a lot less at an independant, basically oil/ filters change..nothing really to worry about being a 2002 car, just check as any used car buy..(mines a 2002 JDM and has been spot on )
dunno really just think the zed could do with some of these instead of the tacky prop it comes with
