God knows , just some Euro law that says HID equiped cars need headlamp washers fitted as well...They seem to be OK for everywhere else without them..in fact most people on here are working out how to stop them working on their UK cars

I had a 3.0S in 1980..I'll try and dig a photo out to copy Cool, you just scrape in then - 78 - 83 was the years they were used - I was 10 in 78! I had this though in 1979..(apologies for digging this photo out again, but I just loved this car )

Sorry nixy.. basical the original bulbs on a Jap Import (HID ) wont pass the SVA test (you need this to first register an import ) this is because under UK laws HID equiped cars also need headlamp washers (God knows why ) All most importers do is swop the HID bulbs for standard Halogen items to pass the SVA, then when this is all done just put the orioginal HID bulbs back in.. These subsequently will pass any further MOT test's

do you do the engine compartments as well Stevie ?

no HID are OK for MOT without washers, most people who import just swop the HID for Halogens at SVA then swop them straight back..Bloody ridiculous UK laws again

i had 2 capris.................... a 3.0 auto t reg first time round then a 2.8 special b reg............................ I had 2 Capri's. A 1.6GL and a 2.0 Ghia. The latter had full bright red interior...

they are identical , just the UK cars have some undersealed applied from new.. to be honest I have never actually compared them , there is some underseal on the JDM rear arches but none whtsoever on the front,

Like stuey says cheap enough to buy a applicator or just get half a dozen large aerosols of the black sort of underseal, I would steam clean car of first though
