  1. The standard cats have a captive screw for fitting to the bracket that bolts across the underside of the transmission bellhousing.  Hope I've explained that well enough.

I've had to fit the standard cats back on as I've got one of those cars that just can't pass an MOT with 300 cel HFCs despite how hot I get it and how much cat/injector cleaner I put in the fuel.  Best I've got the Co2 is 0.4%. My inspector is visibly willing it to pass every retest.  Lamba and HC pass.

I've put the standard CATs back on for a re-re-re-test but I can't find the nuts for the captive bolts.  It looks close to an M10 but an M10 won't fit.  Anyone know the size?  Imperial maybe?

  2. I've asked CoPilot and its suggested Nifty city should have an early model AC adaptor

    Copilot

The Nifty City Tesla-style screen for the 2009–2021 Nissan 370Z does include all necessary wiring harnesses and mounting brackets for installation. However, for 2009–2011 models, a specific HVAC adapter is required to ensure the air conditioning system functions correctly.

Unfortunately, the product page does not list a specific part number for the HVAC adapter. Instead, it mentions that the system is designed to be plug-and-play but may require minimal modifications for early models like yours.

    🔧 What You Can Do:

    • Contact SoCal Z or Nifty City directly via their product support page to request the HVAC adapter for 2009–2011 370Z models.
    • Ask specifically for the AC control interface or adapter harness for early models.
    • If you purchased the unit from them, they may provide the adapter at no extra cost or guide you to the correct part.

Would you like help drafting a message to their support team or finding a reseller that includes the adapter?

  3. Quite a bit of fixing stuff over the last week: new front hubs, new front ABS sensor, strip and reseal front calipers, and flush brake fluid for new Motul 5.1.

I did get around to fitting a Maxton lip kit which I've had kicking about the garage. For the money it's got to one of the best bang for buck exterior mods.

Next awaiting my carbon fibre bonnet from Torqen... it might not be original but I love a black carbon bonnet on a white car 😎

  4. I've been trying to identify a noise from the front hubs for a couple of weeks... it's sort of binding brakes/front wheel bearing noise even though with the car on the lift the hub rotates freely, and the wheel bearing feels okay.  I decided sod it I'll fit new hubs and a seal kit for the calipers, and when stripping the front hub down on the drivers side I found some monkey had previously broken the ABS sensor tab off, and had glued the ABS sensor into the hub! I'm wondering if this is the root cause, although can't figure how.

  5. Torqen have the spoiler off their demo, drop them an IM. Think it's along the lines of what you are looking for.

I did have a look at it but I'm after a carbon duck bill myself.

  6. As forums go it's a bit of a ghost town but there are a few lurking and I've found everyone friendly.  Post up some photos of the project.

I'm extending my garage from a double to a triple so that I have room for a rusty shell restoration project alongside my 370z project. Not quite sure what yet but always interested in seeing what people such as youself are rebuilding.

I doubt this will sell very soon. You can get so much more of a car for the same amount, lots of nice BMW available in that budget range and you can throw £10k-£15k at it to make it 800-1000bhp...

    £30k gets you a decent C63 AMG or RS4

  8. I'm close to pushing the button on a carbon bonnet, how do you find the OEM catch?  Any issues?  Do you think it needs bonnet pins? Interested in your experience

    Looking good btw
