That was one of my first intake choices! doesn’t break the bank but looks nice also! Your engine bay looks very clean! Get onto the dirty plenum and that’ll be looking very very nice!

Whats best to do with the plenum? I have a spacer coming soon, so will have it off, can it be polished up?

I signed a petition to parliament requiring cyclists to pay tax and have insurance for the benefit of other road users. Not sure if it got anywhere.

I do feel quite uncomfortable that a cyclist could damage your car and pedal off without being identified or have no insurance and you’d have to pay out for repairs yourself.

unlikely, the government have to be seen to be promoting anything that will improve the environment, getting people to cycle is a easy thing to push, if people had to have tax and insurance less people would cycle.

I agree thou cyclists could easily damage your car and ride off with no consequence.  I'm glad I don't live in a big city I'm sure cyclists are a nightmare.

  3. I think my brakes might need some attention, they work well but when coming to a stop they sound terrible a really high pitched squeal.  The pads have loads on them and the discs look ok.  Also looks like some of the calipers have been changed at some point the front drivers side and rear passenger side are both painted gold, the rear drivers side is bare metal and the front passenger side is a really faded gold colour. 😯

Exactly this. Unfortunately I feel that the changes to the Highway Code have emboldened them further. Hopefully it will be reviewed when the roads are littered with more dead or injured cyclists.

and the car driver will always be at fault if a cyclist gets knocked off.  Like you said highway codes changes lately have majorly gone in the favour of cyclists and also pedestrians

The TW kit will polish them up quick and easy.

    BUT

No sealant will last more than a few months  of direct summer sun!!!!!!

I've used the TW sealant twice

Gtechniq Ceramic  sealant  about 4 times.

    Meguiars spray laque6 sealant once.

ALL FAILED to last a year.

    HOWEVER

I used clear vinyl headlight wrap 10 months ago after polishing and it's still 100% crystal clear.

@davey_83 has had his wrapped nearly  3 years and still look crisp.

Unless you going  to spray with 2k lacquer afterwards, wrapping is definitely the way to go

Thats great Thanks for the advice

  6. Thanks everyone for the advice, you are right I need to drive the car and get use to it first, work out any issues first then look at making changes.  This car has a long time coming, I'm now late 30s and back in my 20s I had a couple of rx7's, one in particular was a awesome car, I had to sell up and buy a house, get married, have kids etc and 15 years I need a performance Japanese car back in my life, I've always been a big fan of the 350z and now I get to own one, I have a sensible daily drive so this will be my weekend toy.  I'm not the type to keep changing cars, this is a long term purchase :)

  7. Thanks for the suggestions, I've read a few places a plenum spacer is beneficial so thought that would be a nice easy mod.

Those other suggestions are ideal, I fitted  short shifter to a rx7 I had years ago and made a huge difference, is there a good one you can recommend?

  8. I'm collecting a 350z on Monday :)

Its standard apart from a cat back exhaust, I'm putting together a list of first mods and easy/recommended mods.

I'm going to get a plenum spacer

Service including oil, oil filter, spark plugs, is it worth also changing he leads? are the coil packs reliable?

I will also look into induction kits.

Any other first/easy mods I should look into?

    Thanks
