  1. 10 minutes ago, HEADPHONES said:Happy birthday and congratulations on the new arrival:thumbs:.

Nissan definitely had a good eye for wheel design when they made the rims for the 370zB).

Looks like you have a soft spot for convertibles with the Mini sat alongside.

We've had our Mini Cooper for 15 years and love ours to bits.

I'm not sure if it's the same for the roadster as the coupe, but many owners pulled the fuse for the steering lock mechanism as it would prevent a more costly repair if it failed.

Happy zed ownership and by the way, that grin doesn't go away. In years to come you'll still have the same grin every time:teeth:

    Thanks.

Love the wheels, think being slightly darker they set the Pearl white off  beautifully.

Open top love started with a Volvo C70, got the mini 2 years ago after agreeing a price on a 370 but not putting a deposit down and it being sold next day.

hoping my son buys the mini when he finishes Uni, would be a shame to sell it but my wife wants the ‘s’ literally just for the bonnet scoop 🤷🏼‍♂️

  2. Replaced the massive aerial as it hit the garage door. No other plans, still under 15k mileage so would like to keep it standard.

I quite like the fact its quiet, suits a 50 yo better but I can see why that’s the first thing many people change and I would have done a few years ago.

Maybe if something need replacing I’ll go aftermarket but no budget for swapping usable working parts for a while.

  3. So, took the car for a test drive yesterday (Datsunitus/Zeditus 1 - COVID 0)

As expected for the mileage, felt like new, smooth through the gears and quieter than I expected.

Just waiting for agreement on pick up/collection but will be a Zed owner by the bank holiday by the looks of it 🙌🏼

  4. High mileage, don’t rush in unless you are a mechanic or know your stuff.

Worth a visit (if you can) but check some others out as well.

it’s taken me 2 years to find one.. there are some that look good online and terrible in the flesh.

Good luck with the search 👍🏼

  5. Hi, I've been looking for a Roadster for around 2 years now (sorry coupe purists:headhurt:) and finally found one worthy of my hard earned/saved cash.

The prices seem to have risen in that time by £1-3K unless the only ones available now are the better ones although a grey one that's currently for sale on the major car websites need 6 panels painting and the wheels refurbed for £13k.

I've got a 2011 pearl white with 15k on the clock waiting in the wings. It's fresh in from a collection in (nice warm) Guernsey and immaculate.

Looking forward to a drive after lockdown and ownership mid to late March.

Any information on what to look for would be greatly appreciated as although this car looks and feels new with its low mileage its pushing 10 years old so anything age related rather than mileage related may start to rear their ugly heads. Gallery gasket scares the bejesus out of me, what are the symptons, is it purely oil leaking?

Oh, and it will be kept standard as its only for summer weekends and UK touring.
