  1. I have come to terms with he fact that i wont be doing anymore trackdays for foreseeable future and i just dont get the chance to drive the 370 as much as i would like.

I have owned the car for about 2.5 years now and between the previous owner and myself a lot of work has been carried out to make this car pretty special, it has 1000s and 1000s of pounds worth of parts on to make this car perform brilliantly with minimal compromise to how it behaves on the road, i have addressed any issues that have arisen immediately so there is peace of mind that all the 370zs weak spots have been solved, the previous owner did gallery gaskets i have fitted an uprated CSC along with oem luk clutch and flywheel a few thousand miles ago. It has buckets of service history and receipts, lots of work has been carried out by Horsham Developments.

A brief descrription of spec :

    Ecutek remap

    Cobra HFC

    Hks hi power exhaust

    Greddy sump

Oil cooler with proper swaged lines

    Z1 long tube intake

    Recent spark plugs

    Uprated clutch slave

Recent clutch with OEM Inc flywheel

    Gallery gaskets done

Radium surge tank with aem and walbro pumps

    Vibratechnics trans mount

    Z1 subframe inserts

    Bilstein b16 coilovers

Adjustable suspension arms including hard race fuca

    Ebr rp1 pads

    Recent discs

    Braided lines

    Motul rbf brake fluid

    Z1 diff cover

    White line front rear arbs

    White line adjustable drop links

    White line diff bushes

    Torqen headlights

    Torqen side repeaters

    Gtr start button

    Irp shifter

    Tarmac sports w brace

    Goodyear eagle F1 supersport tyres

As you can see it has some very nice parts fitted, as with all 14 year old cars it has some small issues, the bonnet, boot, roof and mirrirs has been carbon wrapped, its not in your face and is a very good job and does actually look real, has a few blemishes on bodywork include a very small rust spot at bottom of wheel arch, the shifter takes some getting used to i do have the stock one if new owner wants to put it back in.

this has also been driven by Misha at nurburgring, his complaints were rear end was too soft, the coilovers were set on full soft and shifter but otherwise loved the car, i was petrified!  The car is currently in a barn i will get it out this weekend and take some more pictures ,it is sitting around 90k, have hardly driven it since its mot in January

    i am asking £12000

    Erm.... what now?!

you can get coated, painted or bare discs, if they are bare any bits that are not in contact with pad will rust so bell and edge of disc, painted are fine but the finish doesnt last as long as coated, most descriptions of discs on things like autodoc will tell you about what kind of rust protection if any they have

Discs don’t really matter tbh, so that makes your choice very simple :)

this, just dont buy utter crap and make sure they are coated so wont rust, i just put febi ones on and have been for perfect

  4. Braided lines help in 2 ways one is brake feel the other is heat resistance so they will make a difference which you may or may not feel, they can be a pain to do as unions may not undo as well as they used to. I bought a second set of pads for my 370z two years ago. They are still in the box

  5. I always run a stock disc on track, it's the pads that do most of the work, if you were getting fade it will be your pads, so if your going ferod hopefully ds2500 oor similar. Tyres I'd just go for an uhp tyre PS4s, eagle F1 etc, more than capable and great in wet or just going to the shops. When Misha ragged my z at nurburgring hitting 160mph was just using stock discs but had ebc rp1 pads and on eagle F1 supersports without issue

Thanks for sharing this, I've watched it twice. Gutted there was no floor or rear view cameras.

I'd love to do something like this and glad to see another Z owner on the forum has. What an experience, he's done so many laps around the ring and driven so many cars, that whatever advice and praise he gives is on a more comprehensive scale than anyone on the internet.

I'm assuming with the rear axle complaints, the suspension and Z1 inserts have helped but I don't recall any comments on your differential bushings? If you haven't done them then I know for my next Z I'll prioritise the differential bushings over the Z1 inserts or motor mounts.

Again thanks for sharing, happy to see you enjoy a lap around the ring in your very nice Z.

cheers for the kind words, i have done rear diff bushes, as soon as he pointed camera in my face i forgot every single mod that was on the car! i am pretty sure it is just coikovers being on full soft the dampers were probably not doing anything at all. full soft on a b16 is still pretty stiff especially for uk roads but over there it really needed more. I would do the diff bushes first they are relatively easy, the z1 inserts were done by Horsham and Craig said they were an absolute pita to do had to pretty much put the entire cars weight on them to get them to slide in. oh and do the trans mount!

  7. He used to race scooters and maybe other child like things, got a job at ring garage and has just done 1000s and 1000s of laps, Auto Alex set this up for me, I'm not sure I'd of volunteered it, but if he crashes he pays. First few corners, as you can tell, I was wondering what I'd done but glad I did it as I can see what my car is actually capable of now!

WOW! That looks great. But as you say scary. nice 1 thanks for sharing.

You imagine Misha takes it for a little spin and build up to race pace but no, he gets in car turns off traction and floors it

Later ones actually shouldn't suffer the clutch slave issues, plus I'd add neither the steering lock mechanism failure either.

I've owned my 2017 Nismo for three years today and have covered approximately 9000 miles in that period, with no issues at all.  Current total mileage is now 25,500.

    I'd say go for it.

The clutch slave is still the plastic piece of crap version earlier ones use, they will fail with age they just won't be many 2017 370z's with 60/70k on them

  10. Being an 18 plate you shouldn't have to worry about gallery gaskets so depending on milage you may have clutch slave issues these can fail at around 70k and is gearbox off. A quick look over for rust, bit should be ok but you never know if it was parked by the sea. Tyres are not cheap so make sure you have some good ones on it apart from that you just check out the normal stuff.

  11. I've used cheap scanners for years but recently splashed out on this:

TOPDON OBD2 Code Reader Scanner ArtiDiag500S, Engine/ABS/SRS/Transmission Car Diagnostic Tool, 5 Reset Services for Oil/BMS/Bleeding/DPF/Throttle Adaptation, Free Lifetime Upgrade, AutoVin https://amzn.eu/d/230TD4W

It can be a bit clunky to use but does have ability to read abs and airbag faults which save a visit to a garage. Very happy I bought it especially as I am trying to get a V10 s6 back on road at the moment!

I'm far too old and moderately sensible/well behaved these days to say from personal experience, but going by AdamC's regular YouTube videos, indeed it is still a thing.

The police are all over it, but doesn't seem to stop it.

I used to help Def organise that when it was an sxoc meet, was a really civilised event, anyone attempted a burn out and they were chucked out, really sad to see what it's become. Anyway buy Adrian's wing.

I know this was discussed in the past, but some of the links don't work and pics are missing.

Like the post asks, I'm also looking for a good quality catch can recommendation and fitting instructions. I don't want to spend more than £150 if I can help it?

    Thanks, Neil

I fitted mine on my old 350 by putting a strap on front of engine between the v

  14. The fact it's low milage is nice but it seems expensive for a de, I know the market has changed a bit but it's coming back down now very quickly. Looking at MOT history the brake lines have been advisory and a fail so will want to check those out also with they amount of mileage it has done I'd bet that the tyres are old and or starting to perish so budget for that. The lightweight flywheel may mean you get chatter coming from it which would annoy me if I was spending 8k plus on a de powered car

  15. If be tempted with the contis, they have five better in some reviews, the reason the mp4s get so much press is they pay YouTubers a fortune to promote them, I'm not saying they don't deserve the praise, they just get too much, the contis and f1s are as good and are better in some situations.
