  1. Good luck with the test drive. New to the 350zs myself but they tend to suffer from rust around the wheel arches and check the W brace, easy fix but something to look out for. rattles or grinding in the gear box, test drove one that had a rattle but only in 3rd gear. Go for one with the uprated Brembo kit if you can.

I went for a high milage, but the service history and condition of the car were spot on and I haven't had any major problems.

im sure someone more with more knowledge will tell you the main differences between the coupe and roadster. for me the only difference is that the roadster looks crap and the cope doesn't lol

    good luck

I have just removed this Kinetix plenum chamber from my 2004 DE as it has a crack in it and I have had a warranty replacement. The crack around the mounting nut seems to not affect anything, the longer crack in the body seems to cause I rough idle.

I have no idea if anyone would be able to, or want to, try repairing it and reusing it.

im not even sure if its worth anything? £25£50???? Nothing?

drop me a PM if you are interested

  3. im very interested, my only worry is that they have already done a fair few miles and how long they have left in them without having to definitely change them over every year for MOTs etc?

and how much of a smell did you get from these?

drop me a PM if you don't have any immediate interest. i am based in Cardiff btw.

  4. Hi Sergei

I was in the same boat, new to RWD and definitely the most BHP in a car I have ever had.

I decided to go for the early version GT due to the lower tax and pretty trouble free reviews.

Ended up paying just under 4K through ebay for one with 120K on the clock, full service history, exhaust, intake and plenum chamber mods.  New brakes, new belts, oil still looks good after 5000 miles.

little bit of rust wheel arch wise but solid underneath and engine runs very well.

you just need to take the time to look around, suss out the seller, you can usually tell if you can trust someone. I looked at a few absolute dogs for 4500 - 5000K.

I ended up travelling to Barnsley from South Wales so don't limit yourself distance wise. worst case scenario is you waste a day and a train fare!

I’ll have one in a couple of weeks and I’m not far away in Newbridge :)

In good condition and complete? How much would you be looking for?

  6. Hey guys.

New to the 350z and just have a question about any known idle issues on the 2004 DE

Just getting a few drops in revs when sat in neutral, seems to happen when hot or cold, no noticable drop in Volts or anything else. Drops to 400 ish then back to normal.

Engine seems to run fine otherwise.

    Thanks Andy

If you're after power, restoring the original airbox with a high flow panel filter is the way to go.

And an Uprev tune really makes a big difference, maximizing all your mods potential. Perhaps cats and remap at same time, you'll love it!

I was wondering about the original air box set up. But the Injen products are known for being tested and proven?

Although that engine bay gets ridiculously hot,  admittedly though it was boiling hot weather driving back yesterday, so i was wondering about heat soak etc.
