Ah well disappointing news from the dealer, it's not covered by the warranty and Nissan want £740 to fix. Gona hide in a hole for a while

will do is it in a post which one to pull ? Also I have just seen the costs in a post £1k + !!! they shove that up their arse I'm not paying, hope they warranty coughs up.

Update, Mill Volvo didn't know what was happening but i know they had sent it to Nissan (next door) so I drove along to Nissan. The workshop was shut but the sales lad rang the service manager even though he had finished work. He explained and it got a bit complicated, they started the car via computer ! so they know its not the engine, they have de-programmed the fobs and re-coded. They are waiting on Mill Volvo to approve a part (warranty) and guess what part, as you have mentioned the power steering !!!! I didn't think it was this at first as I assumed it meant the lock was on, he explained that it will still move but very very heavy . Yup I noticed when trying to push it. Hopefully fixed soon. Thanks for your advice cracking forum.

As above, 60 plate black edition, died whilst getting fuel, ended up pushing it so other people could get past at the pumps. (they are heavy !). They key fobs would flash when pressed as though locking and unlocking but the red alarm light would not go out. Would not start and the window was down so no electrics. Rang the garage I bought it from eventually got it flat bedded back to the garage (missed my sunday dinner ), been with the garage for 5 days now. It's now at Nissan and apparently it's a fault with the immobilizer. Still waiting to hear what they are doing with it. Bloody warranty better cover it !

Yeah, key in pocket, not light warning of battery. Works fine if I have foot on clutch and brake. I have downloaded the manual so will have a read thru, thanks for your help. Appreciated.

Cheers, just tried it and it didn't work. Got in the car made sure it was in neutral, press the clutch fully, press the start button and it just turnsto ACC on the button, press it again it goes to on, clutch down press again and everything turns off. strange..

Hi I have just picked up a 370z black edition in Quarts and was after a bit of advice please (only had it a couple of days). When starting the manual inform you to push the start button untill to changes to the ON position then clutch in, neutral and then push the button. All it does is turn everything off. I can get it started with the foot on clutch and on brake at the same time. Am I doing something wrong ? Many thanks, ohh a few little pics didn't notice until I got it home it had a carbon fiber front lip and black badges and stainless exhaust.

Hi sorry think I posted this in the wrong forum earlier. I have just picked up a 370z 60plate when looking underneath to try to figure out the aftermarket exhaust (on tick over) I noticed water dripping from a very small pipe about half way along the body. Does anyone know what this is please ? I have only had it two days so apologies if its come up before, took me 1/2 day to figure out how to start it and another 1/2 day to work out opening the boot ! Stereo next !

Just picked up an 60 plate 370 Z had it ticking over on the drive and was looking under to try and figure out what aftermarket exhaust it has and noticed a bit of water dripping (its water I tasted it !) from a little tube about half way along the car is this normal ? Any help would be appreciated, only had it 2 days and never owned a Z before. Thanks
