  1. Original exhaust from a 2008 350z HR.

This was previously on another forum members car, I'm only selling as I now have an aftermarket one.

Between both cars it's done and estimated 55k miles.

I had no problems with the exhaust and I've done my best to show condition in the pictures but can take more pics if required.

    Collection only from Milton Keynes.

  2. I have a set of aftermarket depo headlights on my Z, they are for left hand drive / Europe so will most likely fail an MOT here.

I've heard of other people with these headlights getting through their MOTs without issue....

The time for a new MOT is nearly here so trying to figure out how other people do it. Do I need a "friendly" MOT centre? If so can anyone recommend someone in or around Milton Keynes?

  3. Interesting idea, I actually have some thin cork sheets I could cut up and layer underneath.

Not sure if I should be worried about it potentially being flammable or melty around the hot engine

  4. I've just replaced my battery, I bought exactly the same make and model as was already there but I guess in the last few years they've made it smaller. The bracket no longer holds it firmly down. For now I've put a squash racket grip between the battery and bracket so it will hold.

Anyone else had this issue, how did you resolve it? Is there a spacer or something you can buy to raise the battery up a little?

Fully prepared for one of you to tell me I am doing something wrong 😂

  5. Interesting thought, would there be an issue with having a worse seal when reassembling though?

I was hoping to avoid taking everything apart only to find out I do need to buy something then having to put it all back again... If someone has a set sitting around and has the time to check it would be appreciated but the LED lights aren't to expensive and look quite nice so I think I'll just get those. Looks like torqen sell them as well so don't have to rely on a dodgy eBay seller

  6. I am going to be exporting my car to Germany. One of the requirements will be for the fog light to be on the left instead of right.

I was thinking about buying something like these https://www.ebay.de/itm/233623400174

Then splitting the wire for the fog and reverse lights or extending them to reach the opposite sides.

Before I do that though I was wandering if anyone knows can I just take the existing lights, swap the left and the right and turn them upside down?

They look like they would fit but I haven't taken the bumper off to have a close look to see if they really are symmetrical like that... Anyone had experience doing something similar?

  7. I am moving to Germany and want to bring my 350z with me.

Has anyone ever done this before and know what I need to change to make sure it passes the inspections / TUV etc over there?

I was thinking about buying the DEPO headlights which are for left hand drive anyway but am unsure of the ones with smoked lenses will be ok in Germany and am struggling to find any info on it. Does anyone here know?

  8. I replaced my undertray yesterday with one of the torqen ones. Next up I would like to replace the plastic cover that sits a bit further back. Previously some part of it broke off causing the whole thing to start flapping around, I was on a track day at Silverstone at the time and got flagged in for it so I tied it back with some cable ties and it's been "fine" since then.

    Here's a picture.

What's this thing called and where can I get a replacement?

Very nice, what's the cost of those re profiled wheels?

Mine was £230, supplied my own wheel... Royal steering wheels do an option where if they have one in stock they supply the wheel then after fitting you send yours back to them.

They have quite a few options of different materials and shaping etc so their costs will depend on what you want.

  10. Does anyone know if the HR and DE steering wheels are interchangeable?

To expand a little bit... I have a HR with cruise control etc. The plan is to buy a reshaped wheel from royal and swap my controls onto it.

Then I wanted to fit my old HR wheel into a DE as I don't like the orange leather at the bottom, the de also has cruise control etc so i'll swap those controls onto the old HR wheel and send the DE one back to royal.

Hopefully that makes sense, can anyone tell me if that would all work?

  11. I managed to figure this one out for myself.

They do not fit, the shape and size etc is the same, they will bolt in, but the yellow connector on the HR is smaller than the DE so they don't plug in... It might be possible to remove the connector block and splice the wires together but I didn't want to risk ruining them.

Luckily for me it wasn't a complete waste, my new replacements have just gone into my track day car instead.

  12. I'm looking at replacing my worn out seats with another set.

I have a HR (2008) with heated, electric seats with the airbag built in. I've found a set the same but from a DE. Would these be a straight swap (keeping all of those features working) or is there any reason why they wouldn't fit?

Nice one buddy. Didn't realise you could get that carbon effect with a hyrdodip! I've got a sunset Z with black interior. Wondering what divider combo to ask @14N for...

I really like the black and orange look, could suit yours as well. Have you done anything else with your interior? 14N was really helpful for me and we spent a while finding the right shade of orange felt for the z, maybe you can find one closer to your paint colour
