  2. Cheers. Doing research on camber arms and toe adjusters now - some say needed, some say not needed, then there is the whole drilling and cutting for toe adjusters - just trying to find out what to do before I fit anything
  3. Hi all, I want to get a set of Eibachs, and have seen the pro kit on eBay for £179.50: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eibach-Pro-Kit-Lowering-Springs-for-Nissan-350Z-Skyline-350GT-E10-63-013-01-22/322867554132?fits=Model%3A350+Z&epid=833144632&hash=item4b2c67e754:g:AEgAAOSwK~RaAIYT Everywhere else I have looked they are about £230-£240 - is there something I am missing here? Thanks
  4. Just to let anyone who is interested know, threw up code P2135 - seems to be plenty of posts about on this being a TPS fault. I have cleared the code, and will see how it goes - but looks as though at some point the TB may need replacing. Not the end of the world...

  6. Ok so I just picked one anyway, there can't be that much difference between them... ANCEL AD310 Classic Enhanced Universal OBD II Scanner Car Engine Fault Code Reader CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool - Black Will let you know when it arrives and what it throws up... In the meantime would still welcome any thoughts on what might cause this issue.
  7. Hi all, Went to start the Z up the other night to go out, and it fired up then revs just dropped past idle and it died, started it up, did it again. Started with a bit of throttle and it held, but revving it was not happening, imagine feeling like fuel wasn't getting through properly, revs rising very slowly. Left it sitting on idle for a bit then turned it off. Started up again and hey presto, all fine - drove fine, no loss of power etc. I am now left with the EML on, so I haven't driven it since, until I know what is wrong. I have bought a reader off eBay before for my other car but thought I would check whether there is a particular one that gets recommended? Also, if anyone has any thoughts on what may have caused this, please throw some suggestions at me, I was thinking maybe fuel pump or the relay for the fuel pump? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi, thanks for the welcome, and for everyone else who has welcomed me to the forum. Unfortunately I can't make it tomorrow, maybe next year.
  9. Agreed mate, I did try a test removal - albeit just a hand twist off and it wants to stay put for now - will try again at some point.
  10. I'm from the West Mids, travelled to Kent to get the car - was quite a day!
  11. Hi everyone, I picked up my Z a few weeks ago, as a second car that I can have a bit of a mess with and escape from the dull but comfortable drive of a large turbo diesel engine. What I often tend to do with cars I like is research the hell out of a number of options, then just go with one. Once I had decided that it was a 350z I wanted (other options were S2000 and Z4 - typical contenders from what I've found). What I should have done was drive all 3 and decide - but firstly I feel cheeky just driving a car with no genuine intention of buying it, and I can be quite impatient, and that whole process of would take a fair bit of time and effort. I found one at the right price, albeit it was a long drive away, arranged some time off work and went down to collect a car which I had never even driven another example of. This all sounds like the wrong way to buy a car, but it all worked out - car had good history, low owners, was the colour I wanted and the price I was happy paying for the spec I was after - GT. The journey home was a bit pants, ended up stuck on the Dartford bridge for 3 hours stuck as they had shut the motorway - but gave me plenty of time to familiarise myself with the car. Some of the bodywork needs some love and attention, but was genuine and nothing was hidden under resprays - this will be the area I focus on first - a few small marks / scuffs and paint swirls. Engine is spot on, and I love the drive, noise and overall experience that the car offers - I am really pleased with my choice. Of course I have plans for the car, I have hovered around the site for a while checking out other members' cars to get ideas. I like the idea of the steering wheel retrim to a square bottom and mixed leather as a starting point. Thanks Of course...some quick pics...first one taken was when I was stuck on the bridge...
  12. Hi mate, Everything you have said I can relate to mine, picked it up a few weeks ago and (apart from the exhaust) I feel the exact same way about the noise and drive, and how you describe the clutch also. Nice choice!
