So...
I'm looking to change my radio.
I'm currently using a Parrot Asteroid Smart. Its great, fantastic build & audio quality with full android.
The problem is that it's Android 2.x Gingerbread. My satnav and most apps no longer support a version of android this old.
I've spent so time looking and the only things that come close to a similar experience are the Chinese units, Xtrons mainly. The biggest issues is I'm not sure what I'll end up with. I'm no audiophile but will the SQ be awful will it break in a week?
Reviews seem mostly ok but just wondering if anyone has any experience with one or if anyone knows of something else might be come close.
Android Auto doesn't really meet what I'm after as I wan't to be able to run things off the unit. However should they support 3rd party nav, maybe it will be.
Edit,
Doing more research,
It seems that since android 5.0, USB DACs are supported.

So the new tips never happened. The guy just wasn't able to fit me in. He's working by himself. New plan is to fit some Torqen Polished Tips.
Spent this morning sorting the headlights.
Unfortunately I also caught the paint on the bumper while sanding it back. Hardly noticeable thankfully, and I think some more polish will bring it back.

After:
Might just be able to see the paint in this one:

New exhaust tips are going on the car on Thursday.
I'll keep it straight piped for now.
Even though the car is my daily I don't need it everyday.
I get to work by train, only a 10 min walk to the station too.

Just the closest premier inn to Silverstone bud and yes that’s the pub the Green man
I'll look into it and let you know.
EDIT:
I'm booked up for that. See you there.

So, I've done a bit of work already.
New steering wheel from Jack of royal steering wheels.
I also pulled off the slip in silencers to reveal the very banged up tips. These will be replaced on Thursday.
I'm undecided what to do with the exhaust. it's straight pipes so it's very loud, sounds good but it can be ear splitting at times. i might opt for some boxes on the box just to take the edge off.
Thoughts?
Also wanted to show off the black diamond brakes that had been fitted.

Hi all,
New to 350z ownership.
Not planning on doing a whole lot as the car is really sorted already. (yeah that lasted long - future Dave)
I'm a fan of OEM+, especially on a car as unique as the 350.
Probably some rear spats and and a front lip spoiler might be enough to finish it off for what I like... Not sure who long that will last.
Here is how it looked when I picked it up.

There’s a Premier inn near by with what looks a decent boozer next door....
Might be up for that.
Which place is it? I'll let you know.

Here's some more of the pics from the ad.
Not much planned, the exterior is sorted.
Will be adding my parrot asteroid smart in ASAP.
In the future probably some audio work but nothing major.
Need to look at a heat shield for the air filter. Find a mod on a US forum using a bucket...
Sounds made but came out really well!

Sorry guys, I didn't know I had reply.
Thanks for the info!

Nice job, as said above. That engine looks like it was always meant to be there.

Hi all,
New 350 owner here.
I've come from owning a BMW where changing some of the coding on the car to unlock some other functions was nice and easy.
I'm just wondering if the 350 has any options that can be changed and if so, is it easy?
-
Oh and on the point of it being loud. I don't need the car every day.
It is my only car but I get to work via the train which only a 5 min walk away. So loud is fun
-
Thankfully its only me it has to keep happy!
Thanks all (again) for the welcome.
-
Yeah. It's actually pretty quiet on the motorway though.
It's been pretty well looked after too.
Just a few niggles which I think should be easy to sort. Looks like it needs a new ballast on the passenger side and the horn needs looking at.
That's it though.
I'll recommend Asif at the dealer though. Great guy.
-
I'll be there.
Camping just down the road.
-
Loud, it's basically got straight pipes lol
But seriously its a nice a place to sit and just how effortlessly it wants to go.
Oh and the noise of that V6 is to die for!
Edit:
Corrected as I can't spell...
