Thanks for the help guys
The Astons have dropped a lot in value which made me think of it nearer to 25k budget then an R8.
I woukd prefer to stay away from anything above 25k so the Alfa and F type are out for me.
The 911 is a good shout and personally I think would make the best car for me just I really don’t like them Test driving one for me is difficult as I’m only 24 and look about 18 so dealerships don’t really trust me understandably though
my other option is a written of Audi R8 and fix it up, I have the people behind me to do it and help if anything goes wrong but it’s just the risk.
Dont like Bmw’s, lotus Evora I have been looking at which is on my mind. As for merc cars there are really nice and the c63 sounds amazing but not sure on the handling of these especially when it’s round the forest and nippy corners.

Hi ladies and gents,
im in need of ideas of a daily + performance car. It’s probably been covered a few times but I really can’t decide.
I like going out with a few mates and going round the forest and backroads for a spirited drive with them + work is only round the corner from me a few miles but I do like the luxury’s in a car for a nice long drive.
I have a few few ideas of an Aston Martin V8 vantage or Audi R8, personally I’m leaning towards the R8 as it’s more of a supercar then the AM.
The only problem with the R8 is the price of 33k as I would have to finance a fair bit of that.
What i want:
- budget 25k
-Doesn’t need room or spacious
-doesnt need rear seats
- handling needs to outdo an Rx8 and 350z
- power I would like Atleast 250bhp at fly
- needs ac and radio daily luxury’s, rules our stripped cars
- don’t really like the 370z (sorry )
- would prefer something more exotic
- would prefer something newer 2007+
Porsche not really sure on but not driven one, to common is the downside for me. Maybe a lotus?
Any help would be muchly appreciated
thanks in advance

Original suspension springs included
I have a folder with reciepts for nearly everything bought on the car.

Dunno if your still after them but a seller might have some on here I bought a undertray from
-
Seen this in person and it looks beautiful haven’t been to Winchester in months yet so might just have a look if I’m ever there again

You don’t need to do the pedal dance. I only did the pedal dance when I cleaned the throttle bodies.
Hopefully you got it sorted today
-
I had one loose on mine and took it off till I had the clips to attach it back on and it didn’t do no harm. I think it exposes more of the radiator if you take it off irc. You can see them if you look through the grille of the bumper
-
In Southampton Shirley area last night, I think you flashed me but I was to late as starring at your car sorry
-
Guessing you got the standard orange ones?
try zmanalex or torqen have new for £32 each

so this is looking about right then? I hear people saying it should be on 30 but my is slightly below. My revs seems quite low though so maybe it’s that.
My HR sits just below 30 maybe 28ish and that’s at 650-750rpm

What difference did you find the remap made? Gains aren’t huge are they?
Throttle response is better, didn’t make a massive difference. I believe it was around 20bhp but didn’t really bother me as I knew not to expect much. Pops and bang map is fun though

I’ll be working so won’t be able to make it but enjoy the view guys

I’m from Southampton and would be up for a meet, I go down Portsmouth now and again

I got use to the light being on now. I had my idle fixed then had a remap straight after, you might save a bit on the uprev as I believe you need the licence to sort the idle out
-
Horsham sorted my idle out on my HR and removed the immobiliser and the little red light stays on now. Can cover it or just leave it if it doesn’t bother you
-
My zed was off the road for 4 months and the battery went flat but charged it up and works perfectly, is a risk of it completely dying though

Just remembered my insurance company wanted a photo of my driving licence but I never got round to it and I only have a month left of insurance. They didn’t change my monthly payments in anyway, I’ll have to double check now
-
Clean the motors, easy diy and I did it and only took a few hours

I thought they can’t change it as both parties agreed to it at the start. Best call them, I’ll be watching mine if yours has changed.
Unless you havent told them something when taking out your policy such as convictions, claims etc as I know these will affect your product straight away.

Parked outside a house in Shirley (Southampton)

Yeah I think Aston’s are out of mind as it’s a GT car.
The evora I haven’t looked at that much so will have a better look into that one but as you say if a decent one is to much then that’s out too.
Yeah I’ll see what I can do for test drives maybe a Porsche will change my mind when I drive it.
As for the Gtr’s I thought they were a lot higher around the 30’s but seeing there that low I might have a look.
I will he taking servicing costs and maintenance cost into account as well and I know the Gtr is bad for this
thanks for the help guys gives me a few ideas but still not certain on a choice yet
