  1. Sorry for the delayed update. Mark correctly diagnosed this to a dead control module for the pop up system. It was resolved by swapping it out for another unit. Everything else looks untouched. The lifters etc don't look like they've ever been fired or replaced.
  2. Great, thanks for that. I honestly can't remember unfortunately. I took it home on a transporter and one of the first things I did was take it apart to look for damage. I don't expect it to be a bad repair as I bought it straight from the salvage yard in an unrepaired state, but you never know. Ta
  3. Thanks for the response. I'm in Essex, near Southend.
  4. Cool, thanks guys. I'll give them a call and see what they say. I'm intrigued as to why all three have thrown a code when I only disconnected one though. I'll report back when I have something further. If anyone does know the location of any fuses, or what the resistance of the sensors should be, it would be good to cross the of the list too. Ta
  5. Thanks for the response, it's hasn't deployed though. The airbags and bonnet are still where they should be. I managed to get a multimeter on the center sensor but forgot to hit post on my edit. I think it was 670 ohms. Does anyone know where I can get the values for what it should be? I'm guessing that if the car was off but the accident did trip all 3 sensors, when the car was started it would pick up that they were reading wrong but it shouldn't trash the ECU? Same as starting it with the sensors disconnected. I'd like to rule out all the 0 cost options, like fuses, before replacing parts. Even from Chinese suppliers, new sensors would be about £600 and another £200+ for a second hand ecu
  6. Hi all I bought a Cat D 370 that looked like someone had reversed into the F/L corner. The damage was very light and neither the airbags or pop system were triggered. During the repair process, I took the bumper off. I disconnected the center sensor and removed the L/H and R/H sensors from the bumper, leaving them connected. I did start the car with the center sensor disconnected. My pop up bonnet light is on at all times. It doesn't flash, it stays on solidly. I've tried the reset procedure online but not joy. I bit the bullet and got a Consult 3 unit (Chinese) and software. Connecting it up, it reads a comms error with all three sensors (even though only 1 was disconnected). I've tried erasing the code but no joy, I think it's one that can't be erased and means there's an issue that needs fixing. I was able to erase a past code under a different system about irregular voltage. So I believe the unit/software works. My questions are. Does anyone know if/where the fuse is for the pop up bonnet ECU? I've been pulling out fuses left right and centre to see if there's one that's blown, but nothing so far. I haven't been able to find one labelled anything like pop up bonnet or PPS. Does anyone know what resistance the sensors should have? I can't imagine that someone reversing at a relatively low speed into one corner would trip all three sensors, but it would be good to measure them. Also, Consult specifically says Comms error, rather than something like "sensor out of range", which is what I'd expect. I've left the car with the battery disconnect for several weeks when not in use, but that hasn't helped. I've tracked the loom from the sensors up to what I believe to be the pop up ECU (next to the battery) but can't see any damage. I'm struggling to find info on this system as the manuals posted online are for US cars, which don't have this. Thanks Cam
  7. The car is going in for paint shortly, so I've ordered one new. Managed to get it from here for £33 delivered: https://partsouq.com...part/GL/S51/286 That's £20+ cheaper than Nissan wanted.
  8. Hi All Nissan want stupid money for this bit of plastic, I've found a guy on ebay who 3d prints various other Nissan washer jet covers for a much more reasonable amount. He's said that if I can provide him with one then he will have it scanned and can start printing them. I need a passengers side, if anyone has one for sale, I'll buy it and give it to him before fitting. He can replicate both sides from this and we'll have a supply of these available for reasonable money. Has anyone got one available? I can use my drivers side if necessary but the car doesn't live with me, so I'd need to go and get it. I'd rather not lose an evening if I don't have to. Ta Cam

    Aux Belt Type

Hi All, my aux belt is squealing on start up so I'm looking to replace it. The trouble is, when I look at the manufacturers websites (Gates and Dayco), they specify a 7PK2020. When I go to the retailers (Halfords etc), they specify a 6PK2013. Can anyone confirm which one is correct? The Nissan service manual doesn't give any information on the belt. Thanks
  11. I had the same problem finding a reasonably prices passenger side replacement. Ended up getting a used one from New Zealand as everywhere else was ridiculous. My housing was broken but the internals were fine, so if you need any parts, I have them (I'm guessing the ballast is the same part on both sides?
  12. I'm hoping to get these from Lee but just for anyone else out there who needs these. Here are all of the part numbers (this has taken me a few hours to track down)! http://nissan-europe.epc-data.com/370z/z34/950-vq37vhr/body_electrical/286/'>http://nissan-europe.epc-data.com/370z/z34/950-vq37vhr/body_electrical/286/ http://nissan-europe.epcdata.ru/370z/z34/949-vq37vhr/body_electrical/286/28647M/'>http://nissan-europe.epcdata.ru/370z/z34/949-vq37vhr/body_electrical/286/28647M/ (With parts diagram but in Russian) The link above has all the info, but for my 2009 model in Red (A54 paint code) they are: Cover R/H - 286581EL2A Cover L/H - 286591EL2A Bracket R/H - 286641EL0A Bracket L/H - 286691EL0A Cross Hose - 286731EL0A Hose Clip - 28626EW71A Jet Assembly R/H - 286411EL0A Jet Assembly L/H - 286421EL0A Jet clip - 286479W50A This is the main page for our car: http://nissan-europe.epc-data.com/370z/z34/950-vq37vhr/ http://nissan-europe.epcdata.ru/370z/z34/949-vq37vhr/ (In Russian but with diagrams) Key words for other lost Googlers: 370z parts list 370z parts catalogue 370z parts catalog 370z headlight washers 370z headlamp washers Hopefully this saves people some time.
  13. Hi All Nissan wanted £1,700 for a headlight or £450 for just the housing. Managed to get an unused secondhand one in New Zealand (where I grew up) for £150. It's on the way to my brother now who will forward it on to me. Still need the washer pieces though. Does anyone know where I can get the part numbers for these? Is there a UK parts catalogue available for these? Nissan won't give out part numbers.
  14. Hi All I'm repairing a 2009 370z which was a Cat D and I'm in need of a passenger headlight washer. Does anyone know the part number for these? I've found the below, it's listed for a Nissan Teana but I'm hoping it's the same part on the 370: 28642JN00A http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Brand-New-Left-Headlight-Bumper-Lamp-Foglight-Washer-for-Nissan-Teana-J32-08-12-28642-JN00A/32504557496.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.2.27VEM4&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_4_10057_10056_10055_10049_10017_10059_10058_10060_10061_10062_412_10063,searchweb201603_7&btsid=d6218672-5d87-4a3f-a2cd-9c2a37fe72a8 Ta Cam
