    Where the car is kept has an impact to. If it's parked on a public road it will have a higher risk of damage/theft for example as apposed to kept in a garage or driveway.

    Apparently it's actually the other way round. Parking on a driveway will incur a higher premium than parking on the street, and garage is even more.

     

    I know when I was comparing different data it was more expensive to have it garage kept rather than parked on a driveway.

     

    Oh really? That's an interesting point of view insurance companies have taken ☺ï¸

     

    I'd imagine that they get most thefts of cars that are garage kept, because usually the garage kept vehicles are of a substantial value.

    Whereas public road kept vehicles are usually of a significantly less value and therefore rarely get stolen? Perhaps? That's my guess anyway!

    About the post code..I have no much Idea, I think will be CV35 and somethings .. But I still have to find a place to live so I'm not sure exactly,I will have look around

     

    From the start the Company will give me an accommodation but I'll need to find a flat soon as possible. If any one have any advice to find a flat.. this would be appreciated

     

    Some other question will be, What happen if for example I want to change the tire size or other modification on the car ?

    My sincere apologies Sacha! If you add modifications to the car you'll need to inform your insurance provider and they will amend your policy which will incur administration fees usually £20 ish but also depending on the modification it is also likely to increase your insurance.

    Annual Road Tax for a UK 350z is

    £295 2002-2005

    £515 2006-2009

     

    Depending on which model you get, insurance depends on a lot of things! Best to have a look online for approx quotes but it will come down to your age, postcode, NCB, value of the car, essentially the risk to the insurer.

     

    To give you an idea I paid £900 and I'm 21, but I fortunately live in a decent postcode when it comes to risk and I have 1 years NCB. But it really goes on a case by case basis.

     

    Cheapest I've heard someone insure a 350z for was £380 and most is £3,500 so there's a big range !

    Your arm must get tired waving every Honda, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Suzuki, and Daihatsu...

     

    Must be every 5 or so cars :lol:

     

    Hahah I'm not talking about your Honda Jazz's and Quashqai's 😂 I'm talking about tuned/Modified jap cars like your supras, skylines, R35's, evo's, Impreza etc ☺ï¸

    How much do you spend on fuel?

    I've religiously kept all my fuel receipts since owning the Z and strictly only put in V-power.

     

    The first month I added the receipts up and it was £391 🙉close to £100 a week.

     

    Mind you I used it every day to commute to and from work (35 miles), and I visited some family and friends who live millllles away just because I wanted to drive it 😎I drove it as if it was a new toy 😈 -Not economically by any means!

     

    Into month 2 now, seem to find myself getting straight into 6th gear and barely going over 60mph... the fuel consciousness has set in!

    God help me if I end up spending £100 a week again!

    Thanks guys aha. The weather settled down a lot after 8pm. Was a good turn out in the end around 20 cars came.

     

    Was lovely to see a few other zeds there too.

    The somewhat funny notion of starting the message Hi Guys and finishing Thanks Guys for a meet for girls... ;)

     

    Just kidding. Good location for a meet - had a great photo of a few owners eating McDonalds off the rear wings of their Zeds a couple of years back!

     

    Hahah it's a meet for both guys AND girls! At the moment I'd say around 70% of the meet will be girls but both are welcome!

     

    Haha that's brill, I've seen memes of that sorta thing on subaru's haha

     

    Yeah it should be good, pending the weather dies down a little!

    Hi Guys,

     

    I'm organising a small meet for "Modified girls" for Thursday 23rd February at 8:00pm. So far around 15-20 cars are due to be attending.

     

    Quite a few jap cars attending, celica, a few GT86's, 2 supra's amongst others. At the moment I'm the only Zed going.

     

    If anybody fancies it, particularly any ladies, pm me a message, it would be a joy to be accompanied by some Zeds! I can add you to the Facebook page for all the details.

    Double din head unit suggestions

    Thanks lads, I think I'm swaying with one of the Apple play touch screen ones. Not keen on the fold out ones but I can see how it would be practical. No need for AUX or even USB to be fair just need Bluetooth, I do like having a volume knob but then again the controls on the steering wheel play that role for me

    Be aware that for Apple Play and Android Auto they plug in via a wire for display of apps & charging and BT for phone. So you will have a wire to plug in to still...

    I think you can just run the cable under and along the centre colsole and into the cubby, the Alpine comes with one.

     

    Not liking the idea of wires on show but if I can be ran into the cubby above the unit that would be ideal !

    Thats what the company told me, thats how they fit them. By cubby, i mean the compartment between the seats. The Alpine is expensive though but worth the money imo. Although you do need an iphone to use it.

     

    I have a 6s ðŸ‘🼠with the alpine one does that work with the steering controls still? And where do the wire get run to? The main big cubby (what I would call the CD cubby) ?

     

    Alpine was is pretty expensive but you get what you pay for in this world imo
