    Whereabouts are you, think I remember you saying that you drive through New Malden a fair bit or something like that? We could pick a petrol garage on the way out of surrey and meet there.

     

    PS, was at a Jap meet today at Ace, met a guy in a ginger 350z called Matt said he knew you from a Zed meet? Small world.

     

     

    I'm in Bookham, but work in New Malden. Ideally a shell station so I can kill two birds with one stone 😸

     

    Yeah, I organised a meet at cobham services couple months ago, he was there. I've persuaded Matt to come to Japfest too. Would have been at ace today but I'm working *Boooo👎ðŸ¼*

    Im driving down to the Cafe from Richmond to meet Martin (Payco) and a few others, then leading the Zeds down the sneaky route into Incarnation, happy to meet you in Surrey and we head down together - early start though!

    Have to say...

     

    Nissan Westway Aldershot were brilliant.

     

    Amazing customer service, booking in was easy. Managed to get them down a little on price over the phone (never take the first price they give you)

     

    P1 service for my 350z at £199 including 1 year RAC breakdown cover anywhere in Europe plus a full clean inside and out (although I didn't go for this as I'd just cleaned mine and I'm quite particular👀) Full breakdown list of the all the bits and pieces from the vehicle check with advisories etc.

     

    Paid the price quoted, service was completed within 2 hours.

     

    Will definitely be going back for my P2 next year.

    Crawley is about 40 minutes from my work so il be leaving the meet at 10:15am. But will just be nice to see the other Zeds.

     

    What's the postcode?

     

    Who's going to have chance to clean their Z? 👀 Or am I going to be the only dirtttty one there 😳

     

    I'm off on Mondays so they are my cleaning days 😛

    I'm useless at navigating the forum from my phone, seems to be so complicated difficult to find certain threads unless I spend hours of scrolling or looking for the "search" barâ˜ºï¸ I don't think it helps much that I use Tapatalk, starts searching the entire app 🙈

    I've personally not gone for a rear "dash" cam, simply because if you get rear ended it's their fault.

     

    If you fancy a reverse camera for your headunit, so the rear image comes up on the screen, the ones which drop in to the number plate light recess are quite discreet and effective for backing up, especially at night.

    That's awesome, although presuming this need to be plugged into cigarette lighter ? Or plugged into just the head unit ?

     

    If it's just the head unit I'm almost definitely purchasing! Pretty useful especially for £18!

    . Not amazing, but can't complain for the price - does the job.

     

    As for wires:

    - Comes from behind rear view mirror

    - Straight into headliner

    - Along the headliner to the B pillar

    - Run down that

    At which point you can either go behind some more trim (next to rear speakers / glovebox) to get to the rear 12V, or just pop out under / behind the passenger seat and go up to the socket.

    (Remove the rubber door seals and it makes it really easy to tuck it in behind).

     

    Rear cam is probably worth it, though I personally haven't bothered. Always a chance you get rear ended and it helps out though.

    Almost definitely going to get that one, atleast for now! Not sure you can go wrong for that price.

    Looking to get a pretty inexpensive front dash cam £100 or less.

     

    Also asking myself the question is it worth getting a rear dash cam? Again inexpensive nothing too fancy.

     

    Getting a new double din head unit fitted (Pioneer SPHDA-120) on Monday and they can wire in a rear dash cam whilst they are fitting the radio, so the rear image comes up on the screen. Not sure if only certain rear dash cams are compatible ?

     

    Pretty OCD when it comes to mess/leads/wires

     

    My thoughts were to route the front dash came wire along the head liner, down the B pillar by the drivers door and round the back of the seat into the rear cigarette lighter

     

    Thoughts/recommendations...

    How many 2004 models are there ? I thought it was just GT spec and non GT in the UK didn't think DE and HR models came in until later on

    DE and HR are the engine types, GT is a trim level.

    I've had an offer via PM so I'm just waiting for a reply from that to see if it's been sold.

     

    The DE and HR have a different shaped head unit, so a HR standard unit won't fit in a DE. Maybe this is just the model year.
