  6. Yeah cold oil pressure was sitting at around 30-40 ish before the change ill try changing the filter at the weekend see what happens.... thank you everyone for your help!
  7. I did run for a little while but as i said the oil pressure only increased and nearly topped out the gauge, i didn't have the minerals to keep running any longer I guess i'm going to have to get someone more qualled up to have a look at it! i just find it weird how changing the oil and filter has caused such a change
  8. 4.5 litres Ordered from euro car parts, i don't know the exact model but it was the one they had on their system, but from what i understood an oil filter couldn't cause over pressure. 350z GT, 05, 82k miles
  9. I recently changed the oil and filter on my 05 350z (vq35de) i used magnatec 5w30 A5 and an K&N oil filter. After i had finished i started her up and she started revving low (under 500 revs) and the oil pressure gauge was reading 90, i let it run for about another minute or so and it shot very close to the 120psi mark at which point i switched off. had a little search about but havent come up with an answer thus far. Car seemed to be running fine before this, any ideas anyone??
  10. Okay, cheers thanks!

    Fitting HFC

Anyone know the rough bolt size to use when replacing HFCs incase i end up breaking aroug? Also what nut/washers are best used? Plus i'm using exhaust paste, should i also be using gaskets as well?? Thank you in advance!
  13. Would have snapped up those decats a couple of weeks ago... GLWS
  14. Really happy with this. They look so much better than the pictures. Ian was such a pleasure to deal with and these fit so much better than the oem and the quality is far superior! Going to have play with mine to see if i can get it flush like everyone else now Thanks a lot Ian
  15. Ahhh think i need to do some research into this.... I'm with you! is this the same for turbos also? recommend any particular HFCs? Off topic.... how do sc owners stay "street legal" without cats? I'm not supercharged yet but as far as I'm aware it friendly MOT testers or the pain or swapping them over for tests. Don't take my word for it though Thought as much are you planning on SC??
  16. I am by no means planning for FI any time soon, but i'd like to keep my options open incase I fall into a pot of gold  as for the sound would test pipes be louder than HFCs for normal 60-80mph driving?

  18. I'd like to plan for FI down the line... whether it happens or not, well... Not really very knowledgeable in this area... are Decats essential for superchargers? is it the same for turbos?
  19. Hi all I'm aware this topic has probably been talked to death about... Currently running Crawford racing sports cats however, i think one of them is on its way out so going to need to change.. I would like to reduce the noise slightly, as it gets very droney as a daily.... Also running 5zigen proracer with envy Y-pipe. But do i go decat or HFC? I know power differences would be little to nothing but in terms of sound..? If i go HFC do i replace with crawford (they have lasted nearly 8 years) or have people had better experience with other HFCs? Also something that marries up with the rest of the system is important.. Money is a factor however i don't want to skimp out on quality And i'm aware of the legality of decats... Thanks is advance!
