  1. I stuck the diagnostic tool into it after it happened the second time and I think it came up throttle position or something along them lines, but I didn't think anything more of it when it cleared itself. Again I was just thinking that maybe it was because of the plenum spacer as it happened on first start up after fitting. If it happens again I'll put in the reader again but I'll see when I get home on Friday.

Nixy I'm the same, I only drive it at the weekend, but it has never happened while driving, only when starting the car up.

Just going to take it easy until I get the uprev just incase! Cheers for the replies lads.

  2. Hi guys,

After I got my zed at the beginning of March, the car was going fine, but it randomly went into limp mode after I pulled into a service station after a long drive. I didn't know it was limp mode at the time (until I done some research after), but after stopping and starting the car for a while it seemed to cure itself and I drove home with a sweaty forehead!

Anyway, it was all going fine until I fitted a plenum spacer and some new plugs about a month later and the car went back into limp mode again. I had read that the ECU may try and adjust so it didn't bother me too much, but it's happened a few times since, but it always goes away after a few restarts. This is usually every Friday when I get home, so the car sits in a garage during the week.

Other mods include an Ark grip system and Takeda intake. Could it be that the car is running too lean? It has just passed the MOT so I'm going to put some kinetix test pipes on and get it sent down to TDP for an uprev in the next few weeks so should I just take it easy until then? Any other opinions on what's going on?

    Cheers,

  3. Well guys, I'm looking for your help again. Since you were all so helpful giving me info on the Alfa Brera, I'm going to ask if anyone has had any dealings with an S5? My old man has changed his mind and is now convinced he is getting an S5. He has his heart set on the supercharged 3.0 V6. Anyone any experience? Cheers lads!

  5. Thanks for the feedback lads, I'll pass it all on. He was put off by some reviews online but I always think it's better to go by someone who has actually owned the car for a while! So their main downfall appears to be lack lustre engines. I think he should go have a look at one and see how it feels, make a decision then. Cheers

  6. Alright lads, my old man is currently on the hunt for a new car. He likes the look of the Brera, as do I if I'm honest. I believe they got Clarkson a bit excited 😂. Anyway just wondering if any of you lot have had any experience with one? Doesn't matter which model, I know there are a few engine choices! I think he's eyeing up the 2.4 diesel. Is their reliability really as bad as their reputation?

    Cheers

  7. Hi all, i just had a Wasso plenum spacer arrive at the weekend so while I was fitting it I thought it would be a good time to change the plugs as well. If you are looking at the engine bay from the front of the car there is a fuel line which goes to something which is bolted down with two 10mm bolts to the left side of the plenum. I had to take this off to get at the top left coil pack. However when I was removing it, I must have damaged the o-ring seal 😔. Then when I put the car back together petrol started squirting out of it. I tried another seal I had in the garage and it worked for a while before starting to squirt again. Can anyone identify what it is so I could order the proper o-ring?

  8. As above I drove past you coming up to a roundabout heading towards the airport. I think it was greyish, just seen it at the last minute. I wasn't in my 350 as I was only heading home from airport. Anyone on here?
