  1. Pretty sure you can just top it up with water (ideally distilled).

It's not ideal, but as a temporary measure it's fine and won't cause any problems.

yea I thought about this but would probably make more sense to get some coolant anyway as backup for the rest of the year.
  2. I've got a service in about a month so will be getting new fluids anyway but just spotted the coolant is on the min so thought id pop over to Halfords and get some to top it up, turns out they don't stock any for models past 06!

Anyone with an 08 HR out there that can let me know which I can use? Had a look through the forum and can see nissan own brand is recommended but just after something to top her up for a few weeks.

P.S it's the green type in the tank at the mo.

  3. Don't know why they moved the dipstick, it was fine where it was

not sure what the DE is like but the HR is soooooooo pants! It's impossible to read it while it boinging round all over the place, stupid flimsy thing!
  4. Rust rust rust, keep an eye out for it. I picked up my 08 HR a few weeks ago which was immaculate but even that has one or two small specs here and there. To be honest the age they are unless it's been kept in a box it's whole life there's bound to be the odd bit here and there.

  5. Haven't managed to sell the lil pocket rocket yet, thought i'd drop a post up here incase anyone is looking for something fun or a first car for kids maybe?

  8. Had a good look into this the other week.

The HKS Super Hybrid seemed to come up on top.

(There were a few concerns about oiled filters like the K&N potentially causing damage to the MAF, but I think the risk is minimal / non-existent, and nothing to worry about. If Watshot can give you a good deal, they'd be an excellent option.)

thanks for the info, what made the HKS stand out from the others then just out of curiosity?
  9. General consensus amongst forum and pros alike, is that any decent drop in panel filters are hard to beat, with nothing to be gained from swapping out the standard intakes which obviously work well.

As luck would have it, I have just listed in the 'parts for sale' section, a pair of K&N's from my (now sold) HR, which are 8000 miles old and have never been (or needed to be) cleaned or re-oiled, at a considerable saving over new (£45 inc. p&p.) If that's of any interest the link is here: http://www.350z-uk.c...hing-must-go/

Shameless plug I know, but the advice is sound...

thanks buddy will have a quick look round and might well take them off your hands!
  10. Hi guys,

I've used ebay special induction kit's, k&n and BMC in previous cars, but just wondered if anyone can advise the best for the HR engine? Can't really see the point in an induction kit in these and will be quite happy just replacing the chip shop grease proof paper but any advice would be appreciated cheers!
