  1. Aren't those spacers too big? I thought 22/25 was max for these wheels.

I thought that but Torqen and a few others assured me it was fine. If I decide I want it lower i'll just switch the 30mm to a 25 or something instead (if there's any rubbing issues from the 30mm). Might even go for complete new wheels later in the year in which case i'll likely need to get rid of spacers completely but will.see what happens with these first.
  2. Sounds good to me, maybe i'll try that first and if it's still not what I'm going for can sell the spacers and look for alternative wheels. So you think springs are a better choice over coils at this stage? Or are tein s techs coilys not springs? (Working at the mo so can't look)!!!

  3. Just take it looooooooooooooooooooow and slooooooooooooooooooooooow and you should be fine - I can imagine being 30mm lower you are defo not going to be able to "straddle" the smaller bumps and as always with cars as awesome as ours, don't drive over speedbumps where possible!

  4. How to Bird-Proof Your Car

Many birds poop while flying. There are many different ways to encourage them to avoid your vehicle.

    • Take a few old compact discs—four is enough—and make a tetrahedron or pyramid shaped structure with them. Make sure the CDs reflective sides are facing out. The sun will reflect off these surfaces.

    • Take some cloth and hot glue it around a magnet and then glue the magnet to the bottom of the pyramid. When you get out of your car, place this structure on top of your car. (The cloth will keep the magnet from scratching the paint on your car.)

    • The magnet must be strong enough to hold through the wind. A stereo speaker magnet works well.

    • If you want to get fancy, make a small shaft so the tetrahedron can rotate and spin.

This structure will keep the birds away from the area because of the shifting of the light. These little contraptions can serve the same function around pools and decks, too.

................. And I was going to spend the bank holiday drinking rum and having bbq's - now I'm making the BirdTurd Blocker!

  5. I can't see the price. Do hoe much is a pair of 20mm AND a pair of 25mm without any discount. Also are we sure that 30mm on the rears does not cause any issues on standard Rays on the 370z?

    Thanks

Not sure about the 370 but i've got some on order for a 350 - I know a couple of guys have them with standard rays & suspension with no issues apparently but will have to give them a go and see, if there's probs I'm sure we can exchange for a 25mm without too much trouble.

  6. I DONT BELIEVE IT!

I just came back in from lunch and looked at my car - nice and clean & shiny.

Literally 2mins later my colleague said "that was a good shot - look.........."

    ALL OVER IT AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Had a massive one all over my headlight the other week and it had seeped through the gaps and coated the inside :(

God that's grim lol! I had some green mossy/mould stuff in mine so got a toothbrush in there and gave it a good clean out, rather that than birdturd lol!

  8. Evening all!

So I bought my awesome car earlier this year and I absolutely love it, but had to do some tinkering to make it a bit more "my car".

    Zeebhsn.jpg

So on the car when I bought it:

    Tinted rear and quarter windows

    Ark Grip Exhaust

    Stubby Aerial

    Weighted gear knob

    Tonneau Boot Divide

    Since then I've added:

    K&N Panel Filters

    Brushed Aluminium Slam Panel

Bride Lanyard & custom lucky dice/card charm

    Bayamax Car Buddy

On order are some 25/30mm spacers from Torquen to go on stock forged rays.

Also purchased some G35 spats from Tarmac a few months back but returned due to having no luck finding a bodyshop to spray & fit them without difficulties!

Pics will follow, but om just wondering what to do next. I'm thinking about new wheels & lowering but not sure which way round to approach, if wheels or suspension should come first. And also not sure if coilovers are needed or springs would be ok. I do enjoy a frequent spirited drive but don't think i'll be tracking the car.

Looks wise, what can I say I Love the big kits and shiny bits so may well revisit the spats in the future or even go all out on a full kit but will have to see!

  9. In fact i'd say get the other system, just so the Ark's stay more rare & unique!

that just makes me want to get the ARK.....

I think you should absolutely 100% not go for the ARK and not be in the cool gang.................
