  1. There is indeed, but it wasnt cheap. I bought the Nifty City kit. Its fully reversible as well so no cutting into anything.

Here is a link to the review article I did for it which might help give you more info 👍

Seeing this every time makes me really want to get the Nismo V1 spoiler on my V2. Several bodyshops have turned me away recently saying they don't want to take the risk on the tailgate as apparently it's aluminium and is a pain to weld up. If you ever want a straight swap back to a V2 tailgate, you know where to fine me

I really think it looks so much better and suits the car more. The V2 spoiler looks great on a GT spec, but the Nismo wants something more aggressive IMO.

Thats interesting. Well if you are ever in Norwich I can give you the name of the bodyshop.

You could always get a GT spec tailgate and just swap the tailgates themselves? Then no work needs to be done.

  4. Next update was i decided to get some Tarmac rear quarter window vents. Got them painted by my bodyshop and then fitted them with 3m tape.

They arent a perfect fit or perfect shape for the window (which i was slightly disappointed by as it wouldnt be difficult to get them a lot closer), but you can only see that up close. Took a bit of moving around to get them where i wanted but got there in the end.

Love it, really need to get the sides done on mine. What % did you go with ?

I went 5% on the rear and rear quarters, and then (i think) 35% on the sides.

You really dont notice much difference looking out of the sides from inside the car which is good.

My nismo never came with the red stickers, like you I think it looks so much better without! I do wonder what colour coded wing mirror would look like

Thats interesting. I imagine the previous owner, like me, took them off either because they faded of they just preferred without.

Colour coded wing mirrors would be pretty easy to find as the GTs have them. It wouldnt look bad, but with the more aggressive body kit i think the Nismo suits the black mirrors.

  7. Next was a non planned change. My red wing mirror accent stickers were all faded and looked terrible close up. And to replace them would be a £300 option from the States. So i decided to take them off and see how it looked rather than spend that obscene amount of money. And actually i now think i prefer it without, it just seems a little sleeker. But i know this will cause a debate.

I have a mate with a vinyl cutter so can always have some more done cheaply if i change my mind.

  8. Its been ages since i last updated this thread, so there are a few things ive done to the car since…

The first thing was having the wheels powder coated and removing the diamond cut. Im not a fan of gloss black wheels, so went for a dark grey satin finish. I managed to get hold of some Nismo decals to go under the centre cap clear coat which work brilliantly.

Imo the car looks to much better now.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have had a look at mine this evening (took a bit as been away) and I think I have 25mm on the back,  but in fairness I measured using a key and then measured the key when I got inside, so they might be 20mm 🤣

Can I assume that 20mm will be alright for the front even of running 25 on the back?

Note that tyre sizes are standard 285/19 on back and 245/19 on front 👍

Yeh you dont have to run the same size spacers front and rear 👍

Really envy you having a car port.

Car protection from the sun and the rain and lots of space

I have a small garage but it's a tight fit and a bit of a faff to shuffle cars round to get in and out so I keep our occasionally used Kia Sportage in there and park the zed on the drive unless I'm detailing or topping up the battery.

Ideally I'd like a car port too........or a massive double garage :teeth:

Yeh i do love having the car port, and then the space in front. Like you say it protects it from the weather. I mean like you, in a perfect world having a large double garage would be perfection. But until then this is good haha.

  11. So for my 30th birthday i thought a nice gimmicky present would be a personal number plate. Really happy with it and the short plates really suit the car 👌

I went for a slightly wider rear plate to fill the rear bumper section a bit more.

I've been looking at this upgrade for a while, seems I should've taken the plunge sooner as the price has now gone up! £566 not including import tax of £102.20!!

    A couple of questions:

    1) Is this the only option like this on the market without going for the incredibly expensive route of brainiac/aftermarket custom install? (You know, because I stupidly have a V2 Nismo that has the integrated AC controls so that you can't just switch out the headunit! 🤦‍♂️) I've googled quite a bit but don't seem to find anything remotely like this from anywhere else!

    2) Were you charged import tax?

    3) Is there any connectivity outlets for dropping in aftermarket amplifiers to upgrade the speaker components?

    Thanks!

Yeh its not cheap which is why i jumped on it when it was on sale. But still well worth it in my opinion.

    1. This was the only full on solution that i found after scouring the internet. All the others were just dongle workarounds. Whereas this just works straight away and has full integration. And the fact its wireless CarPlay as well sold it for me.

    2. Honestly i cant remember for definite now. But im pretty sure (like 90% sure) i didnt get charged import tax.

    3. Because of the way it basically sits in between the wiring loom and the stereo unit, everything in the stereo unit is still used. Meaning that you would use the stock stereo unit connectivity outlets for aftermarket amps etc. Nothing like that would be plugged directly into the aftermarket unit.

I hope the above helps 👍

Great write up, thankyou!  This is exactly what I've been waiting for! Finally bring my 370 up to date! 😀

As mine is an early 2009 model with stock Nav but NOT touchscreen I would have to order the HD touchscreen as well I guess?  And to be completely wire free I would also need to order the "Unlock wireless android auto"  I don't want the faff of having to plug my phone in every time I get in the car.

Sorry i missed this message. Not sure if it would cause other issues if you had to replace the screen with the touchscreen one 🤷‍♂️

I dont use the Android side, but i didnt need anything additional to run wireless CarPlay, so i dont imagine you would need anything additional for wireless Android Auto.

  14. Yeh i believe when i looked into it years ago the MK2 has one extra clip right at each end (which you could just remove/shave off), and then the 4 clips along the bottom, which you could just remove/shave and use 3M tape instead. Cant see there being any issues at all really.

Its odd there would be fitment issues due to it being the same boot lid and the same main bolt and clip locations.
