  1. I live in Leighton buzzard so MK is a quick drive down the dual carriage way for me and only having the zed for just over a month would be good to see some other zeds. Count me in for the 27th.
  2. Took a couple of pics whilst waiting for the windscreen most to disappear.
  3. £12 including postage? im miles away from Bristol so wont be able to collect.
  4. Just this bit for me, not sure how its fixed in, it looks like it loose in your picture. Where abouts are you based and how much for just the lighting module? may be able to pick it up or ask you for a quote fro delivery?
  5. Would you sell the roof light module separate from the headliner?
  6. £402 including all fluids, new oil filter and front discs and pads. No spark plugs or air filter as they both looked to be in good condition.
  7. Here is a list of phones that do connect to the Bluetooth module. The list was last updated at the end of 2014 so some newer phones may work but just not confirmed and added. http://www.bury.com/cms/fileadmin/downloads/compatibility_lists/EN/Adapter-BT_Compatibility_list_EN.pdf Also, take a look at this thread for a bit more info on HTC's. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/9151-which-phones-are-compatible-with-the-bluetooth-adaptor/
  8. I would love to know the answer to this. I've recently installed a aftermarket head unit, but I only get the fading volume using the rear usb cable from an iPod. Doesn't happen on cd, radio or front usb to iPhone. Weird as I didn't think the original Bose system had speed volume setting. It's also not consistent, sometimes low revs some times high revs, some times low speed, some times high speed. Drives me nuts!
  9. That's good to know. I've got a 1h 40min round trip tomorrow so only have to worry about bedding the brakes in and not the fluids. Will drop a line with the cost when I pick her up tonight.
  10. So tomorrow I'm having my front discs and pads replaced due to being completely shot and at the same time I've asked for a full full fluid change as looking through the paperwork when I bought the car there was little evidence it had been done. Will give me piece of mind and maybe more placebo horsepower. Who doesn't want that, ey...? I know brakes have a bedding in routine but the question is, do fluids also have a routine or anything I need to know?
  11. Unfortunately its phone only I believe, otherwise I spent 3 hours replacing the stereo for nothing!
  12. Hi, It connected to my iPhone 5C but unfortunately do not have and Android phone so cannot answer. Thanks.
  13. Up for £65 delivered (UK) is my removed OEM / Nissan bluetooth module and base plate as seen in photos.
  14. Are the OEM discs and pads Brembo as well? Or is it just the calliper? Also, which pads, I think these as they match the shape of the calliper http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2008/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-pad/?10170047A&1&f2ca931ca910da00f4c7ab682d107b4ffd0087c1&000036 But these also showed up when I put in my reg? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2008/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-pad/?10170036A&1&5407d9d227d7b05fa5e3c60f3da4f69e79dcb084&000036
  15. Took my 08 HR to a local garage today to give it a once over and mentioned this to the guys there, they jacked the car up greased it up as per the first post in the thread (did both sides as they were there) and instantly solved the clicking problem.
  16. Finally got around to taking my zed to the local garage, get it up on the ramps and take a good look at the full condition of the car. All seemed in good order, front half of exhaust could do with replacing though. Until I looked at the back of the front discs... Time for some new pads and discs for the front, annoying as the front pads where only changed less than a year ago and the previous owner didn't change the discs??? So my question is, can I buy some OEM discs and some slightly uprated pads for everyday use and the occasional track use for the front and keep the OEM discs and pads for the back? or am I just asking for trouble? Thanks.
  17. Checked mine today and they both span the same way (standing at the front of the car looking at the car they would be going clockwise) and when I had the bonnet open it was chucking hot air up into my face (so assuming it's pulling the hot air off the rad and towards the engine). I've got an 08 HR.
  18. got any photos of them on the car? And also, I see the product code on one of the springs, what's the code for the other front/back Spring, thanks.
  19. Anyone know any decent tyre/bike carriers?
  20. Thank you for your guidance. Thanks, always have a tyre pressure gauge so that's one thing ticked off but completely forgot about oil top ups. Whta makes for a good brake fluid? Any particular brand/rating? Good to know it runs well standard! I thought it would... Hopefully see you there, I think Bedford would be my choice of track for my first track day shenanigans. Did you aqua plane as well? Guessing you didn't from the way you typed that up.
  21. Well if it was you, you flashed me when I was infront so thought you'd remember!
  22. As a new owner of a zed I'd absolutely love to take it round a track come Spring/Summer. Had the car for a few weeks and already done the most important mod for me. Removing the tape player..... I'm hoping by the spring I'll have saved enough for a set of 19" wheels. I think that the factory 18" Rays will offer better track performance. (19 for show, 18 for go, is what I've seen thrown around a little...!). So I'm interested in some form of rack for the rear of the car that could maybe fit 3 or 4 wheels but also be easily changeable to take a road bike for when I go on bike rides. In terms of prepping the car I've seen mentioned a few times a few things below. Please let me know If I've missed anything crucial for ensuring a safe car at the track. Not after massive performance etc for my first year! Just safety and a huge smile on my face. Suggestions on brands etc for the below would be appreciated. New braided brake lines New discs? New pads? New helmet Getting suspension geometry checked (is there a standard I could show a mechanic so they could ensure it matches that?) New track tyres that can also be used on the road (just in case) Thanks.
  23. Absolutely fantastic guide. A massive, massive thank you. I have a 2008 HR and guide was spot on. I decided to go for a single din with no reversing camera. I bought my stuff straight from the InCarTec website. I bought the 29-674 and 50-306 (Dec 2015). Came with a universal steering wheel control adapter that required assembling to match whatever brand headunit you have. Only modification needed was additional length to the earthing cable (which came joined to all relevant earths so had no mods required like older versions) and new eyelet so I could earth to gear stick surround. And an aerial adapter from halfords so that the older Nissan connection could attach to my new headunit.
  24. If you can use an eyelet to Earth the black cable to your front right screw holding the gear stick. I did this today and stopped my kenwood system hissing. Really useful guide here and references the earthing in one of the steps. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/56481-kenwood-ddx-4028bt-rear-cam-install-–-superguide/
  25. Just gave that box one hell of a wiggle and two seconds later it's out. Thank you!
