  1. As title suggests. New or used, not fussy really. Drop me a PM. Cheers, Beefy
  2. Ideally looking for used, already in a casing, as I quite frankly CBA to do backlash, shimming, tolerances, etc... You need to hold on constant power to lock it. If you lift it opens the diff and makes it unpredictable. I drifted with the standard VLSD for over a year but to be honest a kaaz or a welded diff transforms the car completely and makes it much more controllable. The difference with the kaaz tho is if you put the clutch in while turning it doesn't skip like a welded diff Yeah, I had a Kaaz 2-Way on my S14a and it was quality... Finding it progressively more difficult to get larger angles with the stock VLSD.
  3. After recent purchase and some wet weather, I have noticed my LSD is a bit worn, won't always spin both wheels :s... Looking for an LSD working replacement or a 2-way kaaz, etc...

    Wanted: Side steps.

Yeah, the black plastic sidesteps are exactly what I'm looking for Fancy sending some pictures/prices my way?
  5. Going to buy some sidesteps for the Z soon, wondering if any members had some they needed to get rid of instead of buying brand new. Thanks Beefy
  6. Hey guys, just wondering if any of to had a link to a PDF or a thread with the D1 spec throttle controller instructions. Bought my z recently with one installed, and it dosent seem to light up when car is turned in, so I'm assuming there is a dodgy connection somewhere I need to sort out :o Thanks very much in advance. -Beefy Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  7. Pretty much exactly what 370Ad said. Sorry, Womble! It's on hold apparently! Last time I went to japmeet I was the only zed there....felt right out of place, not to mention the funny looks I got Last Japmeet I still had my S14 haha. Had to get rid because they're were too many going there and I didn't feel like a special snowflake anymore haha. I'll be at the next one if you're up for it. Add me on FB: Jake 'Beefy' Ventham
  8. More members from Reading. yay. Ever come along to Japmeet? 3rd Tuesday of every month at Reading Gate. 7pm ish
  9. Cheers for the suggestions guys, must admit I'm tempted by the elastic option because I'm a cheapskate when it comes to overpriced phone mounts, very clever idea as well haha. Much appreciated gents.
  10. Hey guys, just wondering where/what/how you've mounted your phones to your Z. As I use mine as a satnav, I used to have it mounted to the dash on a magnet, however, the Z's Dash is fairly hard to find a decent mounting space for it, so ideas/pics of your own install methods and kit would be nice. Ideally without a charger wire running everywhere ahah (THANKS NISSSAN FOR THE CIG LIGHTER PLACEMENT, GOOD JOB, 10/10 /sarcasm). Wondering if anyone has made a mount for the centre console cubby? Would fit perfectly inside there if someone did. Thanks all. - Beef
  11. Saw someone today heading from town down Lewes Road in Brighton. Was behind in the Silver 350 (y) Wondering if it was a member, nice car bro!
  12. Thanks for the welcome messages guys, went for a decent drive around east sussex this afternoon, weather was a little bit completely awful, but the Z handled it well haha. Cheers man, I need to get the refurbed a tad though haha, anthricite is always a decent neutral colour haha. I hover between Reading and Brighton, I'm studying Mechanical Engineering at Brighton Uni, so term time I'm down there, weekends I'm back in Reading (y) Enjoying her lot haha, my S14 broke me in early with keeping a careful light foot as it had a lethal 2-way in it, was a bit too #yolo for me a lot of the time haha. Gotta try and avoid the temptation to press the naughty pedal around some corners though haha.
  13. Hey guys newbie here, just bought my first Z. Got a 2002 JDM Import GT model with Rays and some other little goodies, I'll go over the list when I get the time haha. Came from an S14a that I had since I was 19, now I'm 21 I wanted somthing a little more modern and comfortable but still RWD and fun to drive. Looked online for a little bit and shortly after selling my 14 a couple of days ago, I picked up this beaut from a dealer for a great price. Fairly sure it was a forum member who was a previous owner, as it's had very trick bits done, maintained to a fantastic standard and all work carried out by Abbey Motorsport. First name of the prev. owner was Tom if anyone has any ideas? Haha So far I've loved every moment of my Z, not sure how to compare it to the S14 however haha, time will tell anyway. But for the moment at least I'm loving it. Cheeky picture of my old S14: Anyway, I hope to attend a few meets/events and meet some of you lot in the near future. Kind regards, Beefy
