  1. Hey Guys,

I'm not sure if this is in the right place but I've got 2 spare Silverstone Classic tickets for tomorrow (Sunday) from work and rather than see them go to waste I thought I'd offer them out to fellow zed members?

You'd have to come and pick them up from Worcester Park / Mitcham.

    First come first serve!

Oh, they're free of charge by the way,,,

    Cheers

  2. Very very tempted for the whole setup if you don't find two buyers for the two parts. Just need to find a few vids of sounds etc.

Its not the loudest, I would say a notch or two above stock, but paired with HFCs or decats is a stunning sound. Difficult to gauge with videos as they never capture the true sound and reverberation of the exhaust.

So many times over the last few years on here have I seen people looking for used exhausts going around the £500 mark, this is a steal at this price in this condition.

:thumbdown: My clutch needs doing so will have to miss out on this :bang::byebye:!!

  3. My DE needs a clutch and flywheel change, [the clutch pedal started sticking to the floor after a long drive on Saturday] so over the last few days I've been ringing around to find out what the average price was before booking it in.... Spoke to a few specialists and thought, let me just see what Nissan would charge.

I've Just come off the phone after speaking to a girl in the service department at a local Nissan dealership and I still can't stop laughing    . I asked her how much it would be for a clutch and flywheel including vat and labour and she put me on hold for a while (maybe whilst she made up the numbers) and came back with....

    £2979.30p.

I just feel sorry for the poor sod that doesn't know about the specialists and this forum and actually stomaches up £3k for a clutch and flywheel change.

  4. That came out of absolutely no where that goal - great shot.

    Happy for Ronaldo.

Does this settle the Ronaldo Vs Messi argument?

Seeing as Ronaldo has now won an international tournament and Messi has retired international football without an international trophy to his name...

  5. You can come hear my Celica in Richmond...in fact you could probably stay in one of those mentioned areas and hear it from there ;)

As BBK says, lots of members in the area.

  Yeah fair enough - is it that loud?

Are there any local meets around here?

I used to get a few of the local lads together but we've all since parted ways as we've got busier with our lives and I've now sold my zed. However nothing stopping you from organising one.

Yeah might try and get one together....

  6. Guys and Girls,

Since my original post, I've changed my clutch and flywheel, however would be good to meet with locals in and around the area!

Also I'm considering getting a new exhaust so would be good to hear a few cars with upgraded systems / HFC off of here to get an idea.

    Greatly appreciate your help.

    Cheers

  7. Don't know if everyone feels the same. But I feel that when I give way to other cars, I get a lot more thumbs up than when I drive my other car. My gf noticed it as well, she said it must be because most people who drives sports car does not give way to other cars.

I also met plenty of assholes who drive aggressively around me which I'm assuming they are trying to prove they have a faster car.

I thought it was just me who experienced this but yeah, alot more waves and thanks when I let people out etc, but my god the amount of cars that want to race is crazy.

  8. Personally, I find nothing more grotesque than asking for cash as a wedding present. I'll never ever give cash as a gift, ever.

See this is what I mean, I wasn't sure if it was acceptable however as you say each to their own. But would you donate to a honeymoon pot? if you knew it was going on a specific gift?

so what would you do if you went to a wedding and the couple asked for cash to put towards a honeymoon?

Tell them they are disgusting, and walk out ;)

  9. Yeah, we've just got our own place so don't need any stuff for that so will end up asking for money to pay towards our honeymoon! Does it sound rude if you ask for money?

No. Gone are the days when people need toasters and tea sets. We have asked for contributions to our honeymoon for our wedding in less than 3 weeks! :scare:

We have been together 10 years and living together 8, so we already have all the house stuff well and truly covered.

Ahh fair enough, cash it is then please! The holiday donation thing you mentioned sounds like a plan, I think I'd prefer the cash though!

You should see what Indians give as gifts :scare:

My cousin got given a £5-7k diamond necklace. That was just from one family. I remember my brother telling me he'd got about 30k of gifts in total.

Wow - £5-7k diamond necklace - Is that particular family free at the end of August next year?:D

  10. While I may not be able to fully understand the degree of pain you must have been in / still are in - I do know how you feel (kind of). I broke my ankle (for the second time) on the 24th April. Clean fracture and the inside of my right ankle broke off from the whole unit! I had surgery the next day where they re joined it with 2 screws and spent 6 weeks on crutches.

I gym fairly regularly so my upper body strength was decent, but since using crutches I could feel my upper body get stronger but as it did I could feel my right leg lose the strength and also the muscle as it was casted up. While in cast I honestly felt like a kid again, couldn't walk (obviously), couldn't drive, just felt like I was in jail!

Showering was like planning a mission to the moon, had to make sure the cast was covered so it didn't get wet etc, I got so paranoid that I eventually just hung my right leg out of the bath while showering (which ended up in a mini swimming pool on the bathroom floor).

Forward on 8 and 1/2 weeks and I'm know walking, driving and able to have a normal shower again :teeth: ! I'm still unable to run or lift/carry any other weight apart from my own as when they took the cast off 2 weeks ago the xray showed the crack was still visible. I'm back in the hospital tomorrow morning for another x ray and check up so I'm hoping that I get the all clear.

I'm both dreading and looking forward to getting back in the gym; dreading it because I'm not looking forward to finding out how much strength I've lost but looking forward to get back in and start making gains!

Stay strong though, you'll be back walking pain free and unaided before you know it!
