  1. I am going to fit a DAB radio but I have read that the 350z has an amplified antenna which means I can't use a DAB splitter. Is there any other way without having a seperate antenna on display. Would a DAB antenna work inside the dash plastic, just like a GPS antenna? I look forward to your advice.
  2. One more question!! I am going to fit a DAB radio bu I have read that the 350z has an amplified antenna which means I can't use a DAB splitter. Is there any other way without having a seperate antenna on display. Would a DAB antenna work inside the dash plastic, just like a GPS antenna?
  3. Great, thanks for the tip. I guess it then goes under the panels behind the passenger seat and into the sub cavity quite easily? I guess there is a good grounding point in the sub cavity too? All I need to is pick a stereo now! Thinking of thePioneer AVH3700DAB
  4. Hi, where can I see those pictures please? After doing a little research - I obviously asked a silly question! I need a much higher rating to run my 500W monoblock amp. I've ordered a 4awg wiring kit with a 120 amp in line fuse. I'm going to run this into a distribution box with a 60amp fuse then going to the amp, again using 4awg cable. The reason for this distro block is I can add another amp and upgrade the stock speakers in the future if I choose to, with minimal effort. I'm also going to use another distro block for grounding - in case I end up with another amp. Is there a good grounding point in here? The amp will be going in the stock amp space and the sub will be under-strut mounted. The amp originally came out of a z and it was done professionally, so it already has a mounting block. Where is the best place to run the cables? I'm thinking of maybe running the power cable down the driver's side and into the sub cavity, and the RCAs down the centre console. I've also seen a guide with both run down the centre console. What do you think? Thanks for your help!
  5. Hi all; very simple question! When replacing the Bose amp for an aftermarket one to power a sub, can you use the existing power, ground and turn on leads? Or is it necessary to wire a new power cable to the battery?
  6. NO! The original wiring is fine, but the original speakers and amp run off a different resistance to non-bose speakers. You'll either have to replace the stock amp and use the RCA pre outs, or rewire to the back of your HU instead of using the stock amp. Correct me if I am wrong please people?

  8. How are you finding it? I'm thinking of buying one.
  9. Thanks guys, obviously not worth the effort then! It was 60 on Gumtree.
  10. Hi all. I've seen one of these for sale. Are they easy to use and is it worth getting on a 350z HR with an aftermarket back box and air filters? How easy is it to install and use?
  11. Let me know what you have by PM please. MHL compatible preferred. Please leave model number and a picture showing its condition.
  12. Where does this even go?! I like it, can I have a pic with it held in place in the bay?
  13. how easy are the cats to fit? Do they still pass MOT emissions test?
  14. And no I didn't buy yours: got it shipped over from Dublin.
  15. I managed to get an unused one of of gumtree the other day - wasn't cheap though but still unopened! Although, have you checked the weight limit for a boofsquire? Roof Rack Specifications Width Top - 52 inches Width Bottom - 46 inches Overall Length - 35 inches Maximum Load - 50lbs evenly distributed You'd need to have pretty light wheels not to go over the 22 Kg weight limit.... I just got mine to carry my 150l northface bag in a roofbox!
  16. Hi guys. Can get a really cheap government discount on an iPad from teh states right now - can they fit in the cubby hole and has anyone done this? I've had a NEXUS 7 but never an iPad, and I'm out of the country right now so I can't check out my Z to measure it up.
  17. I hear that expanding foam is a good way to seal the bose cavity small holes, then out a sheet of dynamat over the top. Has anyone had success with this? Which foam did you use?
  18. Gents, Did you do any sound deadening - I have heard that the holes in the cavity should be sealed? What should I use?
  19. All, There are many posts about the Bose sub, but none seem to answer the simple question: What are the exact dimensions of: 1. The hole in the OEM sub mount plate. 2. The diameter of the stock sub (in mm please). I don't get my Z for a few weeks so if anyone has measured theirs then I'd really appreciate it. Please don't turn this into a forum and enclosure/crap sound/ dampening - I'm going to try a clarion free air sub before I go down the custom enclosure route. Many thanks!
  20. Absolutely not true, I have one. It is android and the screen turns just like a phone.
