lol...
Maybe my message reads like I am crying in a hedge somewhere or something or totally retarded when it comes to engines which neither are technically true depending on what makes you qualify for "non-retardedness".
When I say panic, this guess this was intended more as frustration, I supposed I forgot how it would read, the plugs are only 20k old so I didn't really need to change them but felt I should as I was there and had some handy but that has now taken as long as taking and putting the rocker covers back on which probably why i'm miffed.
I am sure it will come out, and I was using a metal rod to try and hook it out but it kept bending the hook and it eventually snapped, I hadn't thought of using a welding rod or even the skewer so I will give that a go tomorrow as they are likely to be a little stronger, thanks for that.. which was my reason ultimately for coming on here.
I do find the comments amusing though and feel as if this thread has got a little crazy - must have been the sun today. changing the title would be funny too, and I wouldn't mind as ultimately I have the suggestions that I came here for.

I tried to use the tool, but the rubber part is now stopping the plug from getting all the way down over the actual hex part...
edit: anyway after returning to my flat and being able to use the internet properly I am less worried, just more annoyed as I wanted to have this sorted today.
bit of a panic post probably

because its their shoddy tool that's stuck at the bottom of my spark plug well and not letting me drive my car?
I don't have any long pliers to reach that far, would you be referring to something like this, would that have the clearance in the narrow gap?
-
Okay, so I was just finishing off doing the DIY rocker cover kit, and all was going well, too well clearly.
I screwed the spark plug into cyl.5 and thought everything was fine, I started to attach my coil pack starting and 6 and finishing on 5 but the pack wouldn't go in.
I thought it was just a little tough so pushed it down (not crazy hard) and it budged a little and stopped again.
I looked at the coil pack and all seemed well, checked the spark plug well and all seemed well.. Until I noticed the plug looked a bit fatter. I took the coil pack back off cyl. 3 and looked down and there was a noticeable difference.
I re-checked 5, then went to get the spark plug tool to remove it, and then it dawned on me, it's the rubber "gripper" from inside the spark plug tool and it's now stuck around the spark plug.
Called halfords and complained they said take it out, I said I couldn't they said call the AA. I disagreed they told me to take photos which I have done as I was saying that if this cost me a rebuild it's coming their way.
Any ideas on how I can get it out?
I wasn't too worried about an hour ago but now starting to panic a bit.

Thanks mate, i think my crapspeed one which was on the car when I got it is blowing and prob on the way out so might go stock for a bit whist I save up for a invidia one...
She has the heads off at the moment whilst I sort out the gaskets and grommets but will let you know.

First time using Torqen,
I purchased the DIY rocker cover kit from Adrian late last week, maybe even over the weekend and it arrived yesterday, in fact it all happened so quickly my postman's shoes has melted.
Anyway, great service really appreciate you putting the kit together for us.
Down to me now not to F..k it up haha :-)
-
Nope... well maybe, I have a parcel to collect tomorrow AM although could be one of 8 or 9 things I ordered over the weekend :-\
Will let you know mate, anyway we are at risk of thread-jacking... some cool artwork for sale here boys and girls gotta be some people with some money to burn ;-)

I have a leaky rocker cover so my cash just went straight into torqens DIY kit now :-(

It didn't look like we got enough interest as I needed 10 orders, I don't really need a set as I already have some but would have got a new set to make up the numbers if we were one short but to be fair I have gained a misfire last week so need to sort that out first...
I could keep going and wait till we had 10 but we all know it doesn't really work like that....Sorry guys but will have to put it to bed for the time being and perhaps re-visit in 6 months or so?
Thanks to everyone who was willing to participate, maybe next time.. keep that £50 odd handy
Mod's it doesn't look like this one is going to go through this time, can we lock this thread to avoid confusion, maybe change the title too?

I hit a badger at "about" 40 in by ibiza, leading to a similar result. Good luck with the rebuild.
-
Quite possibly..
Will hopefully know by the end of the week when I get time to have a poke around as diagnosing other issues which may or may not be related

Well that's an annoying tempting shopping list...

I used Maguiars plastRX on mine and they really came up good I had a slight fogging in mine but it's worth a shot before splashing out on expensive lights?

I have Changed pricing and have a stock photo from them which is the same as above although my photo is not as good as the one above..
I did have a check around for any other retailers with the same product but missed cougarstore - I'm not wanting to **** anyone off or be taking anything away from relationships with retailers. I saw a recent post with regards to braided Hoses which cause some friction between suppliers and I don't want to do that. Happy to limit numbers to 10?
Mitz contact me first before contacting Viper I'd rather sort something here.

Hi,
I have been in conversation with Viper Performance about silicone coolant Hoses for the VQ35DE. I have asked about a group buy discount and have agreed the following with their representative. The following is a direct cut from my latest email.
Hi Edd,
we used to sell this kit at £79 inc vat.
With regards to making new batch I will need 5-6 weeks lead time
from payment to produce, we will also be able to offer Blue, Red, Black
in addition since we will make a fresh batch we can also do Yellow,
Green, Purple, Orange. Can be done at 30% extra.
An minimum order for 10 pcs will be £45 each kit inc vat
An order for 20+ pcs is £38 each kit.
30+ £35.50

They have some videos on the website and I have heard their products are reputable but have not personally dealt with then before; they do offer a lifetime warranty.
I am relatively new to this forum so can appreciate if there is a lack of trust and would be willing to work alongside a longer term member in the Chichester area should that be an issue. As the email States I will need to take delivery (at additional cost which will vary depending on number of items) and will then need to re-distribute at the buyers cost although I don't know exactly how much they will be until I find out what size parcel they will fit in or how heavy they are so budget an additional £5-6 per item unless collecting from Chichester/Portsmouth or Worthing area unless there are opportunities to distribute in person or via attendees at a local events through the permission of the buyer.
No mark-up of my own applied I'm not in it for that.
I'm on my mobile and have a stock picture of the item in my email I can try to attach this later but it's a 4 piece kit.
I don't have a limited time frame from the supplier but for the sake of interest I am thinking a suitable closing date for names will be 15th May as I'd like to have it sorted by then taking payments the following week looking to send the order (if there is enough interest) to the company on Fri 22nd May.
Edit: might have been a little eager on the dates so moved them back a week to give people the opportunity to put money aside/get paid etc.
Edit, Edit: and changed my mistake in the Vat.
Edit, Edit, Edit: and changed wording and spelling mistakes after working off a mobile for the past couple of days.
Halfords just screwed my car? (spark plug issue)
