to the forum! Absolutely stunning car, looks superb!

to the forum and good luck with the Zed hunt! You'll find tonnes of info here, be sure to keep us updated with how the hunt for the perfect Zed is going
-
Really cool photo! Something different than the standard cockpit shots, something like this throughout the year, in the day and also at night would look great in an album

Andy! Glad to hear your Zed experience is going well already! Be sure to throw some pics up of her!

I was a little worried about the anthracite colour to be honest! Wasn't sure if it was going to look like they had been attempted badly to match the body colour, but I (think?) it compliments it well! Haha. Got a pic of your VR4?
Yeah I was a little like that when I had mine done as they were going on a dark purple vr4 but they worked well. I then put them on my Silver VR4 when I got that and they go well with that I think. You can find pics of the wheels on both VR4's on THIS thread.
That colour definitely works with your VR4! Never seen one in the flesh, can't be that many on the road? Got quite the fleet at your house as well!

Not sure if you bit the bullet and went some new bulbs? I got the 6000k Philips for about £100 for the pair. Superb visibility with them, with the added bonus they're a perfect white light. Makes the car look more modern rather than having the orangey tinge to the originals.

Just an FYI guys, my GT4 wheels will be up for sale soon. Hoping to get some good pics of them up in the next week or so.
Just make sure that when you take your pictures that you have a piece of paper with your username on it next to the alloys. Have a good read of the rules for sales and you'll have no issues posting them for sale on here.
Spot on, thank you! :-)

I'm running the Motordyne TDX2 exhaust with ART pipes. It is a loud system, and above 3500-4000rpm VERY loud. But with the ART pipes there is literally zero rasp, sounds absolutely incredible! Only bad thing is that (like most exhaust systems) cameras cannot pick the sound up very well. If you live near any of the members it's definitely worth listening to them in the flesh.

I did notice the Michelins, ...great choice of tyre and by all accounts the best tyre around for the Zeds.
Had the super sports on the rears of my old GT4 wheels and just the sports on the fronts before. But thought I'd just get the supers all around this time, can't recommend them enough. Depending on where you get them they aren't ridiculously expensive either. I remember about 2 years ago most places were asking about £275-£300 a tyre. Seems like tyre prices have dropped! Either that or it's just me

Looks fantastic, nice work!
Thank you mate!

Never having had a set of concave wheels before, I was a bit on the wire whether I'd like the fronts to be more concave like the rears, but I think it sets the rears off nicely now they're on the car.
With these cars having a staggered wheel set up I think they definitely suit concave wheel designs very well. Almost helping to highlight the rear tyres being wider than the fronts even more which I love.
100% agree, the thing I love about the Zed's is their ability to suit so many different styles of wheels, quite difficult to go awfully wrong with them
ProjexUK also hooked me up with a pretty great deal on the Michelin's which was a bonus aswell!

Very nice
Thank you!
look good
Cheers bud
Those wheels look sweet mate. I am partial to anthracite and have wheels in the same colour on my VR4

They look great...
Thank you mate! Hope you're keeping well.
They do look great.
I do like how the rear alloy is concave on those type of alloys.

Ordered myself some new wheels a few weeks back from ProjexUK and only just got round to fitting them. Will be getting some better pics in the upcoming days, but I'm loving how the anthracite looks against the body colour, and the fitment of the wheels is almost spot on I would say! Tell me what you guys think!
Specs are:
8.5" Fronts with +25 Offset - Running Michelin Pilot Super Sports 245/35/19
10" Rears with +25 Offset - Running Michelin Pilot Super Sports 275/35/19

Ok I give in and will ask the dumb question...... what is the ARC mod?
You can get the ARC license added to your car that is running a Uprev tune. Meaning you can add extra features like Launch Control, Rolling Anti-lag, Flat foot shifting and Burn out mod.
Usually you would need a line lock to lock the front wheels while spinning the rears, the 'burnout mod' allows you to spin the rear wheels and lock the front wheels by holding the brake pedal down, without any need to add any hardware, it's all done through the ARC software.

Would just like to say thanks for adding the ARC extras to my car a week or two back, got to test the burnout mod today! Worked an absolute treat, thank you Mark!

Looks awesome mate! How do you find the launch control feature on it?
Yeah was incredibly fun, felt abit guilty revving the car like that but I think I'm too mechanically sympathetic haha! Probably did the car good considering she usually just sits at 1500-2500rpm on the way to and from work each day.
That burnout video was the first time using the Launch Control, think it's a really cool feature to have but obviously not as beneficial as a car that came with it from factory, that also adjusts the traction for a perfect launch. It makes me cringe a little dumping the clutch at 3000rpm so It probably won't be used again until I need a new set of tyres Pretty sure the car would be fine with doing a few launches but it does worry me a little haha!
Yeah my only concern is that a new clutch wouldn't be too far off after a few launches I'm gonna be getting my car mapped in Feb and was looking at getting launch control, but I doubt I'd use it that often. Would much rather have some pops n bangs
Yeah exactly, I love the idea of having these extras added to the car but in all honesty it's not something I'm going to use hardly at all. Just nice to have them there for days like today!
Pops and bangs are awesome, definitely worth getting them added if you're getting your Zed remapped, makes tunnel runs sound awesome! We're all just big kids at heart

Hahaha that made me crack up! I genuinely scrolled up and re-read what I put
Really awesome feature and a huge amount of fun!
Watching videos like yours makes me miss RWD even more than I already do for the fun factor you can have, ...I mean 4WD like I've got at the moment is great but just missing some of the fun factor I think you can only really have with a RWD car.
Hope you have a good Christmas.
To be honest it's the first time I've had the traction control completely off in the Zed, let alone trying anything like that! It was definitely the most fun I've had in the car since I got it. Know what you mean about the 4WD though, my Dad and Brother both have 4WD cars and it's a completely different kettle of fish, can't beat the way they grip and gain speed though!
Did attempt a "drift" in the 350 while we had the yard to ourselves aswell, I feel like If i had half a day to practise I could get the hang of it!
Have a great Christmas and New Year too!

Dear Santa,
I have been a really good boy all year and would like two Michelin Pilot Super Sport 19" tyres for my car please. I have no idea why but they have suddenly worn really low.
Yours sincerely Connor.
Looks like great fun.

Recently had the ARC software added to my car and 'Burnout Mod' added by Mark @ Abbey and decided to test it out! Also had the Launch Control feature added which you can hear at the start. Absolutely awesome features that work a treat!
Please note this was done on private land! Apologies for the HUGE cheesy grin aswell!

Saw a grey 370z convertible and a blue 350z coupe HR at the big Sainsbury's in Colchester near Stanway yesterday!
Both cars looking awesome. Hardly never see any Zed's around Colchester, let alone 2 parked in the same car park only a few spaces between them!

Thanks everyone for your ideas, suggestions and knowledge! Really appreciate it!
Will update you all when I've got my wheel retrimmed!
-
Hoping to get it remapped soon. Did you have the same issue?
100% get her Uprevved mate. Had exactly that hesitation when I had mine fitted, and experienced the same while I was driving down to Abbey to get it remapped again. You'll get great, incredibly smooth WOT pulls afterwards.

Yeah I can Imagine, like I say I've never seen one in the flesh before, would like to though! You must be hard pushed with what car you want to use each day haha!
Thanks fella! Can't beat the MPSS!
Hi kbad, no need for any spacers at all with these widths and offsets. The wheels are just bolted straight to the hubs. Hope this helps!
