  2. Following the sale of my 350z, I've got a few parts left to get rid of. Not sure on pricing, just looking to get clear up space so grab a bargain. Prices do not include postage - I can quote this with your post code (all will be delivered via Special Delivery) JWT Pop Charger - £100 Missing the two bolts that secure the heat shield to the bottom of the engine bay. I think these are M10, around 20mm in length? Motordyne Plenum Spacer - £100 Missing the extended strut bar and engine bolts.   6. Hello and welcome to the forum! As above, don't rush into buying a car and get the best for your budget. There's plenty around, private and from garages. My (comparatively limited) experience with Zed's is mileage isn't much of a worry as long as it's been taken car of; regular services, etc Best of luck with the hunt and eager to see what you manage to snap up

Hi everyone, Got an interesting issue with my '55 GT (DE engine) When coming off the throttle (engine braking) and occasionally when applying the throttle afterwards the car jerks/bounces two or three times. I can 'cancel' the bouncing by disengaging the clutch. Looking at the tachometer I can see the revs drop (when letting off the throttle, as it should) before stopping for half a second, then dropping a few hundred again, then stopping, then dropping. Instead of a smooth engine brake, its a bouncy ride down the tach Acceleration is fine. No issues climbing the revs, no issues idling. MAF was cleaned then replaced for a new one (thought I didn't clean it right) and the throttle has been cleaned and then replaced for a much lower-mileage used one (thought I'd buggered the original one when cleaning the valve) The jerking is most obvious in gears 1-2 and lessens the closer to 6th I get, when I can't feel it at all. Temperature doesn't affect it - happens from when I start the car cold in the morning to when I arrive at work 20 miles later after some city and motorway driving After some research I believe it could be either the engine or transmission mounts. Do the symptoms sound similar to anyone on here with more experience of the car and its drivetrain? Brief history; owned the car for a year, been through two full services (all fluids changed - engine, clutch, brake and transmission) and one minor service (engine) over the 15k miles I've done with it Only mods are a pop charger, plenum spacer and Whiteline diff inserts (not the full replacement bushes). The issue has appeared over the last 3-4 months (mods were installed shortly after I bought the car 12 months ago) Any advise or theories are appreciated. Not completely enjoying the car at the moment as I do a lot of town driving and I'm bouncing all over the place whenever I take my foot off or on to the 'go' pedal. The slip road onto the motorway is still good fun though!
  10. Thanks. I can see that this matches with the fault flashes I'm getting. I've checked under the seat but cannot see anything untoward; everything looks okay and a little wiggle about proves the connections are good I'm wondering if simply disconnecting it and reconnecting it may help? Otherwise I assume I'd have to take it to a garage and have them replace the side airbag if it's actually faulty?
  11. Hi everyone, I have a poorly Zed This issue has been on-and-off since I bought it in February. I've reset the airbag light a few times over the last number of months but the issue has finally held it's ground, so I need to fix it. I pulled the airbag code as usual. I was expected the long flashes indicating "no code found" (which is what I have got before) however this time I got this; http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v58/kadrean/Mobile%20Uploads/20150719_143333_zpsy8aumojp.mp4 I can't find the exact flash sequence on the SRS manual. The closet I got was indicative of the front RH pretensioner, although the flashes are in the wrong order (mine is long flash, long flash, short flash but the SRS manual states its long flash, short flash, long flash) Has anyone seen this before, and can they confirm which fault this is going on about? I'm obviously worried about driving my car while this issue is present, and I want to try fixing it myself before handing it over to the garage (along with my credit card...) Any help is appreciated
  12. Thanks guys. The hood dampers took about 10-15 minutes to do as chirag said and work a treat. The dyno is quite optimistic, so I'm going to get another one over summer once I've done the 'normal' route of intake/spacer/cats/exhaust/uprev... and it'll probably still be sub-310bhp
  13. Hi everyone, thought I'd get a build thread going since I've been dribbling things onto the car since I bought it a few months ago First up, stock car. Late 2005 VQ35DE engine, last of the cheaper tax band; Shortly after, got the stubster on; Hated that the airbox was holding back the sound of the engine, so on went the JWT pop charger; For some reason the blue colouring has come off and it's now silver? Bashed in some clear reflectors in the bumper while I was faffing about with the engine. No pictures of the install though The car then went in for a service, as the PO didn't service it for 14 months. Poor Zed Ran it on the dyno, and it came back with a very optimistic 308.9bhp w/ 250.8 lbft torque. No way it's that much for the 276bhp engine Shortly after the service, on the way to work up the M11, one of my pulleys fell off. Lost power steering and the alternator. Not sure how many of you have driven a Z without power steering, but it's awful The lower-most pulley went for a spin somewhere near the A11 junction on the M11. You can see the belt resting on the bolt it was (supposed to be) fixed to. Fun times Got that fixed after two more weeks (as the garage then installed a crank idler pulley instead of the alternator/power steering one, which is slightly different in size) After the service fiasco I popped on some hood dampers. A bit of engine bling; And finally I chucked in the private plates that came with the car and returned to the original ones. Gave it a tidy up and boom; this is where I'm at today having owned it since February this year; Looking forward to meeting up with you guys at local meets in the Cambridge area as well as the big meets over summer

  16. Hey everyone, I've been a 'ghost' on here for a while and having owned my Zed for around 5 weeks now I figured I'd become an active member! I picked up a Gun Metal pre-facelift '55 reg GT-spec Z in January. 96k miles, nothing mechanically at fault however there is a dent on the driver's fender due to an instance of poor parking from the previous owner. It also has a private plate which is in the process of being removed; Tidying it up started immediately. Things started off with a 2-hour detail as the PO didn't bother washing it at all, so it was grubby inside and out (I found a pack of prawn crackers behind the drivers seat and spilt coffee stains under/behind the passenger seat) I've installed a couple of basic mods so far (JWT Pop Charger, hood dampers, clear bumper reflectors) and have tweaked it a little to suit my style a bit more (namely adjusting the clutch pedal and sound dampening the boot space) And following a full service (it hadn't had one since September 2013!) it went on the dyno and ran (an optimistic) 308.9bhp. I'm not bothered by the figures, I just wanted to make sure the power delivery is linear throughout the rev range and that the torque input is acting as expected. 'Engine health' and all that; So that's me in about 2 minutes! Looking forward to learning more about the Z and creating a mod page to help 'log' the stuff I do over the time I have this motor under my possession. Hopefully will catch you guys at meets, the big car shows and maybe the odd track day
  17. Hi guys, Recently bought a Zed that's been a little mistreated by it's PO. I'm after a Gun Metal driver / offside fender (wing) as it's cheaper to swap it than it is to repair it; If anyone knows someone who's breaking a matching colour Zed I'd appreciate a point in their direction I'm keeping a look on eBay but haven't found anything yet, either
