another question for you Payco - your Rota GTRs - what spacers are you using with them? Ta!

    Paycos RTP update

Ah ok that makes sense, I know you went to RT before, just wondered if this was something different. Need to see if they'd fit the rear bumper for less than £690+ VAT..... sounds like they're the place to go, and my local guy doesn't sound too keen on fitting one himself.....

  8. Mason, are your LMGT4's 18" or 19"? Id be interested in buying either your LMGT4s or bod's Rota GTRs - please keep me in mind when the time comes! Cheers
  9. if you still have these mid-april, I'd be interested..... keep me in mind!
  10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-Nissan-350Z-3-5-V6-395-6-bhp-Modified-showcar-Nismo-px-swap-/311302580887?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item487b146a97 Anyone know the history of this car? It says it's been owned by forum members in the past..... a bit (well, a LOT) of toning-down and this might be quite a looker (don't mean to offend anyone but it's a bit too chav for my taste as it stands)..... Wondering if, with a bit of work, this would be a decent buy? I'm planning to buy a fellow forum member's turbo Z in the very near future, but if he decides not to sell, I'll need to find another car...... change the rear bumper, remove the rear spoiler, remove all the vinyl, and it might be quite a looker, if I can convince myself of the white......
  11. My pleasure! Hope you don't mind me nicking a few ideas..... current shopping list is: chargespeed rear bumper sidesteps varis front lip 19" Rota GTRs That'd do very nicely! As for places to go, I'm on the Hampshire/Berkshire border....
  12. cheers for the recommendation, will check them out
  13. Yeah I have no doubts that RT is the place to go for a decent job (I'm not too far from London anyway) but quite costly. Still, you get what you pay for!
  14. and funnily enough Payco, a couple of months back I saved several photos of YOUR car as it's exactly what I'd want to do to my future Azure Z. I think your car looks amazing. Good choices all round!
  15. didn't want to say on the forum but that price *may* have come from RT. Apparently Azure is really hard to match, so needs blending into rear quarters and boot, which raises cost quite a bit....
  16. yeah I've had a bonnet re-spray (bonnet was keyed ) done in the past from a local guy who was very reasonable (I paid £180 a few years back) and it was a top job, whereas other places said they wouldn't do it without doing a full front-end spray at a HUGE cost. He even pointed out where the car had been sprayed before (around the arches) - which I knew about but thought it was blended well, but he immediately pointed it out and slated the job (I knew at that point I'd found the right guy!). Would take the Z to him in a heartbeat but when I contacted him for a quote he said he'll never touch fibreglass again... not a fan! So the other (much cheaper) option would be to buy a JDM bumper and get him to spray it, but I LOVE the CS bumper...... there's an ING-S rear bumper advertised on ebay (141143461629) that is advertised as Fibre Reinforced Plastic. Is there much (if any) difference? Or is it the same thing?
  17. Hi All, Will shortly be purchasing a Z and first thing I'll be doing is changing the rear bumper for (ideally) a chargespeed rep, or alternatively a JDM standard bumper. I'd love some advice on where to go in the south of England to get a rep bumper fitted & sprayed, with a rough idea of the cost I should expect to pay for a match to Azure (apparently difficult to paint match, so needs lots of blending?). I spoke to my local paint guy, who said he's fitted fibreglass before and wont touch it again, so should I be looking for FRP or plastic alternatives.... I'd love the RT-Performance chargespeed rep bumper (fibreglass), but have been told by a reputable company that it'd cost £690 + VAT to fit, paint & blend to rear quarters & bootlid. Having never had such extensive paint work done to a car before, is this the normal kind of price to expect to pay, and should I just go for fibreglass because it's on the rear and not the front? Ta guys, and sorry if I've asked something obvious!
  18. I do get what you're saying, but should I be waiting out for something like this to come up again: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/85113-genuine-04-nismo-modified-azure-show-winner/ or was that a "once in a blue moon" car.......
  19. Cheers all for the replies, appreciated Didn't realise that it would have a nismo exhaust too, that's good to know And yeah, I should probably wait. must....be.....patient..........! .......or I could save up a bit more and buy waltzinblack's turbo Z.......
  20. So I'm intent on buying a Z now, in either Azure blue or Chilli Red (would be much easier buying silver/black but all the cars I've had already were those kind of colours and fancy something a bit brighter ) Ideally I'd like to buy a car from this forum, as chances are it'll have been looked after more than most (plus mods would be a plus). Budget would be anywhere up to £8k really, but £7k preferable. What should this get me? I ask because people are asking a lot for cars in these colours compared to black/silver etc, which I guess is down to the rarity. But take this one for example: www.emgmotorgroup.com/used-cars/search/11546/nissan-350-z It looks well looked after, last owner has had it for 7 years, and it has some very nice extras (kit and wheels). But the dealer wont budge much (if at all) below the asking price, which seems really high to me. But what I wanted to know is, do sellers actually achieve these prices at the moment? What are your recent selling/buying experiences? If I'd been looking at the time SamN was selling his Z last year, I'd have snapped it up. I thought it was very reasonably priced (If anything it seems like prices have gone up since last year). Very surprised it ended up at trade-link, and not bought by an individual.... I've been contacted by some very nice people on here in reply to my wanted advert, but not quite found "the one" yet. Really nice guy on here considering selling his turbo Z, which I'd love to buy but don't feel I'm knowledgeable enough (plus I'd require extra funds to buy it), and would love Steve's chilli red 350Z he's advertising at the moment (clearly a loved car), but it's way out of my price range...... Any advice much appreciated
