  1. I will update with pics when I get chance. I passed my test in 2005 and this is my full car history... 1998 Saxo VTR - First car which I loved, cost me a bomb to insure it! I lowered it 60mm and de Chaved it removing the old tints...etc 2001 Saxo VTS - Loved this, face lift Saxo in the pearl red finish, this one was already lowered 60mm, I tidied the engine bay up and added a strut brace and a green enclosed. Eventually I stripped it out also so it was proper noisy and fairly nippy, until some old bird crashed into me in her rover 45... 1989 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 - Picked this up cheap to last me a summer, it was one of my 'dream cars' growing up, bags of character, wish I would of kept this as it would of appreciated so much! 1999 Lexus is200 sport - My first grown up car, lovely looking car (still is imo) with this I just really cleaned it up, de badged etc. 2004 Saab 9-3 TiD - First diesel for me and my missus to share, needed something better on fuel, I actually really enjoyed owning this. 2008 Lexus is220 - Came in as a part ex at work, I love Lexus so I had to have it, so comfortable and well made. Terrible to drive around the town as it has the oddest gear ratios in any car I have had the pleasure to drive. 2007 Honda CR-V - Replaced the Lexus with this family bus, cracking car with upgraded wheels, spoiler etc, great car for the kids, fishing etc. 2005 Nissan 350z GT - Again, always wanted one, owned for nearly 2 years and I loved it, the sound, the exotic look, sold it 3 weeks ago... Sorry guys! Just purchased my current car which is... 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6 - Another dream car, had it for less than a week, so quick point to point and it would leave most things for dead. It's my daily so I plan to clean it up with a good machine polish and a calliper and wheel refurb as it needs some loving. The car is a Jap import coming over in 2013. Thanks for looking!
  2. Ridz - it's a brilliant car, I was lucky enough to take it on track when it launched, very capable. Vatra - that was likely to be me again, what car do you drive?
  3. Thanks for the compliment, it's not bad for an 11 year old motor. I work in sales so feel free to pop over when you are in next time.
  4. If it was a gun metal 2005 GT it was mine, if it was a blade silver one with touring wheels its one of the techies mates.
  5. Blade silver 350z with rear quarter damage on a transporter in Crewe. Has a stubby so could be a forum member?
  6. Thank you i will contact him in the new year to place an order.
  7. Jetpilot your steering wheel looks brilliant. Could you please tell me how much it cost as I would have one made identical in every way, feel free to pm me if you prefer. 😎ðŸ‘
  8. Monkeyboy - My car at 100k was the same when giving it some, it was the clutch slipping for me.
  9. Any other input please guys? My car is sitting around now not being used due to this
  10. Here is a video of it on the ramp https://vid.me/6R6f I have had a comp stock clutch and flywheel fitted and changed the gearbox oil to castrol 70-90 I think it was, otherwise nothing else has changed and it drives fine besides the noise.
  11. Hmm maybe it's the prop then, I will get them to strip it back down as the car drives and pulls fine, but is louder than before from the front (more whine) and at lower speeds vibrates/clunks.
  12. Afternoon guys, recently had my clutch and flywheel changed, car drives fine but at low speeds especially the rear of the car makes grinding/clunking sounds or maybe even a vibration. The guy fitting the parts had to grind a bolt off as it was bent on a metal brace towards the rear of the car, it's now back on but doesn't sit true as its been damaged. Is that the issue or do you think it could be something else? Many thanks Ryan
  13. Thanks all, looks like I will have to bite the bullet!
  14. Another one guys, funds are a bit tight so changing both the flywheel and clutch is pushing it at the moment. My car has done 100k on the original clutch, would I be ok getting just the clutch done? Labour is cheap for me so I don't mind paying again down the line for a flywheel if need be
  15. Thanks guys, how does the exedy unit compare to OEM? Any real benefit?
  16. Afternoon guys, my clutch is starting to slip so it's time to look at changing it as I am taking the car on track soon. I work at a dealership so labour will be reasonable, I would like recommendations on the best clutch and flywheel package. Who is the best person to buy them off too? I would go non standard if there is a better option available. Thanks
  17. Thanks for the advice, all valid points and I had thought of most. I will definitely change the brake fluid as I have been told beforehand what a significant difference it can make. Phil - not sure if I will be going this year or early next, work permitting I guess!
  18. Hi guys, had my zed for nearly a year now and I think it's time for a track day. My local circuit is Oulton park which is a great track from a spectators point of view at least. I have an 05 UK GT zed with nothing more than a scorpion exhaust and spacers front and rear. I do have a full set of Goodyear eagle f1's fitted though which should be ideal. Any general tips? I have racing experience on short ovals and have done one previous track day in the brand new Civic Type-R. What tyre pressures? And most entries seem to be Clio 182's etc, how will the zed fare against them assuming drivers are of a similar level? Thanks guys
  19. Morning all, I have a standard 2005 uk GT model with sat nav (if it makes any difference) Ideally I would of liked a nice double din touch screen unit but for my 10 minute commute I can not justify one. I would like a nice standard sleek looking unit and my only requirements are - - nice flush clean design - minimal cheap looking flashing lights - iPhone 6 support is a definite - usb charging - single cd - steering wheel controls to remain usable dab tuner would be a bonus but I want to spend under £150 so I don't even know if that's possible. Thanks guys
  20. Thanks for the above suggestions guys I have ordered some Aqua wax as I like how easy the application sounds! Ilogikal - I will be honest and say I tend to clean my car at work with whatever products they use 'autosmart' I think? I am never quite happy with the shine the car gives after a wash etc. I don't have time to spend hours cleaning the car as I do work weekends so I do neglect my car slightly Regarding budget I would never pay more than £15 for a product & your knowledge and array of products scares me!
  21. I have a Gun metal coupe and I am far from an avid cleaner. What I would like to achieve is a glossy wet look shine on my cars paint to make it pop. Is there a particular product you guys would suggest? Many thanks
  22. Thanks gents. I guess its just a matter of removing the passenger door card? If it's not that what is the going rate for a motor? And are both sides interchangeable?
  23. First of all I apologise if this is in the wrong section. For the last few weeks my passenger window has been coming down really slow when using either window control, it comes down very sluggish. Well today it has stopped working completely, it just makes a clicking noise when I press the button. Any ideas as to what could be causing it? All other electrics work fine just like the drivers window. Many thanks
  24. Having just consulted a couple of gay friends of mine they assure me that it is not their idea. They also assure me that they are quite offended by your derogatory use of terminology that describes their own sexual orientation. I'm devastated...
  25. Well this is a gay idea...
