    Whatever you do don't try and go red. The pigment in red isn't strong enough to cover the existing colour.

    Scotlands route 66 trip 20th - 23rd May 2016

    Interested for sure mate...just need to check I'll have enough annual leave as wedding is next year! If those dates are confirmed then I can look into booking some time off. Always wanted to do a Scotland trip!

     

    Edit: just seen the map on the link you posted. My mind has changed now from "interested" to "ON IT!!" :teeth: looks absolutely epic!

     

    Lol great Chirag fair old trek for you just to even get over Hadrians wall :lol: , never mind to the starting point at the Trossachs / Loch Lomand. I'll start a list on Sunday evening regarding this so we can gauge interest easier.

    Ideally looking for 12 cars (members and guests) so get your names and guest in asap, then I can start looking into route and accommodation for us

    Edit: PS. Chirag, if your defo going to come up for this from London, then we would be happy to accommodate you / and your guest at our home the night before if you need it. It would be a big ask for you to travel from London up to the start point and then do even more driving that same day !

     

    That's a very kind gesture mate and I'd be very happy to take you up on that as it would make more sense to come up on Thursday and get a good night's sleep for a start on Friday :)

    Would be good!

    But don't forget that "Wales" trip usually happens end of May

     

    Noted Vlad and appreciate the heads up but there's always going to be a clash of events during spring and summer months for events but then it's up to each member to decide on events they want to go to. I fancy the Wales meet myself but really want to do this trip in my Zed as I know just how amazing the roads are up there having done it on my bike :D

    Talk to a tuner about weather or not our ecu's remove gains from an engine with breather mods, thus promoting the need for a remap? Yeah ok......

     

    Fair enough pal.

     

     

    I don't believe for a moment that a more free flowing exhaust system,

    air box mod with aftermarket panel filter and plenum spacer, 99 Ron fuel (possibly alot better than what was readily available back when the 350z first came out) won't provide lasting gains.

    It's common knowledge throughout the modding world that ecu's knock back breather mods to original settings.....hence the need for remapping the ecu. They're factory set to do a specific job

    Great read and very well written Ekona, having spent a long time in publishing in my previous years, I like well written "blogs", simply explained. Written from an enthusiasts point and very nicely put over. Nice one :thumbs: . I was JAE this year also, after reading these blogs I'm now pi**ed at never having bumped into you.

    If you give me an exact date in May I can let you know - I work offshore for a living and have my 2016 Rota to hand. Be an ace wee get-together

     

    Date is up for agreement between those interested mate so post up your preferred date. It's all up to those interested and we can go with the majority......... democracy and all that lol

    "Done this route with my mate on our motorbikes a few years back and have fancied it again in the Zed. Pity the group numbers are all taken. I would be up for organising another one for the members who like me haven't been able to get their names in quick enough. Let me know who's up for it. I would only be able to do a Friday to Monday trip though due to business constraints.I'd also look to do it in May 2016. Any takers ? ".

     

    As Wendy's organised trip (see her post in the meets forum) I am proposing a road trip for any Zed club members and their friends / family too. The dates still to be confirmed but it will be May 2016. Anybody interested post up your thoughts and ideas and we can all mull over them. This will not be a Zed car specific road trip as my son will probably want to come in his RS and there are members on here who no longer drive a Zed. It's not going to be a free for all and anybody wanting to come or invite their guest, then they must come with a 350z uk forum member. Only stating that as one of the Mods pointed out on Wendys post it could easily be hijacked.
