, I'm 6'3 and there's plenty of room in my coup for me and comfortable for long drives
-
It's already en route, we've ordered a batch to have stock here
Cool just keep me one aside, might even get to order it sooner if I ask the boss nicely, but have to give her time to get over the remap bill lol
-
Good luck
I'll be banging on your door at the end of April for that Stillen Y pipe mate
-
:yahoo: Booked in for the uprev remap for 9th April at Dynatune in East Kilbride. Finally get all my power mods pulled together.

Is there any update on this, is it still going ahead, when and where?
Puffmac hasn't updated this thread since 3rd of March mate so not sure if he's still "on the case" with it !!

Christ you don't want an auto for offroading!
I don't have a lot of experience with Jap 4x4s off road, but my mate has a Paj auto and the gearbox is horrendous offroad as it doesn't have a proper low range without locking the diff, which is ridiculous.
You want a truck you can whack 2nd gear, low range, and just tick it over all day, with the odd knock into diff lock
Both my 4 x 4's are auto and have low range and I find its easier on the engine with the auto box, not done much off roading but I can't see the attraction of a manual off roading, burnt out clutch comes to mind
-
I still really want a pajero 2.8td, manual.
I will get one once the zed is finished!
If your going 4 x 4, get an auto box, just better, suits that kind of car more than manual, especially if you want to do a bit off roading in it.

Nissan Pathfinder.
Always enjoyed driving my brother in laws one (before he wrote it off).
+ 1 on that. I've got a RA50 3.3 v6 Pathfinder, imported from Oz. It's 18 years old and its got 187000 miles on the clock and it's never cost me more than £100 to get it through its mot. Bomb proof engine and still looks good sitting next to other 4 x 4's. I've also got a 5.7l V8 Jeep Commander and it's proved to be very reliable in the 2 and half years since I bought it. The Pathfinder cost me a grand 6 years ago and the Jeep £8500, money well spent on both cars imo.
Mitsibishi shogun is also worth a look at, just depends on your budget.

Easty has one for swap, in the Swap Shop sub forum, PM him he might be up for selling it as he's had no takers on the swap yet

Good question, I will check with Jim. Any idea how many drifters there might be? As the big track has both drift and track options people don't usually go the the oval as well. I will check hit if you can advise numbers of drifters when you get a chance as will need to put a Marshall down there too if that the case.
Thanks
Victoria

I completely understand your point marzman, I'm currently split between the two way's of thinking to be honest. One side is thinking, I can afford it, I reeeeally want the new type R and you only live once etc, also anyone who buy's one from new is going to lose money on depreciation anyway. The other side is thinking in numbers like you, looking at how much money it will actually be costing me, it is a little unnerving.
If I do it, I'll be aiming to buy the car after the 3 years is up, I really don't want to walk away with nothing and I don't fancy starting all over again on another PCP deal either. I just like the idea of actually owning a brand car that I'm completely happy with, with used cars I'm always unhappy about this stone chip here or bit of rust there etc, I end up spending loads of money on them then in the end I'm still unsatisfied, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to bodywork etc.
So if you are unhappy / pi**ed off at stone chips on a older car how you going to be with a brand spanking new type R ?. It would have me greetin in my beer lol

Got an email back from Victoria this morning, I'll copy and paste it on here when I get on my office computer later tonight. We've got about 25 peeps including the 10 coming with Chubby Ninja, but there's also the possibility of the guys from the sxoc join us to for this day. Should have it up before 9 tonight.

Well I will be having breakfast and a stroll in the grounds of my castle Friday morning, you are all free to meet me there
Sounds good with the camera equipment list, go pro would be great.
What castle have you booked into .....Borthwick castle, Melville castle or Dalhousie castle ?
-
Woohoo, all hotels booked, there was hardly any! Not in ANY hotels the same as you guys anybody tell me the area where we are starting Friday morning/staying Thursday night? So I can book a hotel there?
Chirag and the other members from London are staying in the premier inn Dalkeith I believe. I live 2 mins away from it. We are convoying through to Balloch to meet other members and start the road trip from there, the Morrisons store car park I think though that is still to be confirmed.
Awesome I'll get a hotel in Dalkeith and head up with you guys Friday morning, I'm coming from north wales so that's a 4 hour drive alone, props to the guys from London
We love a good drive
So you gonna meet us thursday night in Dalkeith?
Me ?. Yes will pop over for a pint if yous get there early enough and your nor too knackered from the drive up

I only need to look at your avatar Irn Bru and I can understand the racism you are promoting.Yes I did just say that because that is what it is in it's form.(a Scottish carbonated soft drink, often described as "Scotland's other national drink") let me guess...you dislike english and welsh guys as well if it wont be for the immigrants....
I am am another 'romanian' a word which you couldn't even write correctly and feel offended by your poor remarks.
You need to check your stats next time you post aberrations
You only need to look at my avatar to tell I'm a racist lmfao. What a load of crock valy. Irn Bru is my favorite drink and is the same colour of my car. You sir are racist with that stupid comment. Done with this thread

Brian, I shouldn't get involved, but can't just stand and watch while you throw random stuff at "Rumania" while being Romanian
Do you care to share some stats and details about the "lazy Romanians gits" getting "free this and free that" on which your affirmation is based on? I'd love yo have a read on.
Last time I've checked, there were last than 2000 Romanian citizens in 2015 that claim housing benefit in UK. Meanwhile over 6000 Romanians were recruited back home by British recruitment agency to come work for NHS in UK. Over 7000 Romanian students, researchers and teachers are studying, researching or teaching in UK universities. I personally know hundreds of very hard working Romanians in different industries from labourers and car wash staff to famous chefs, finance City boys, musicians, business owners, artists and actors to CEO of Canary Wharf and so on.
There's much more to be added to this, but let's not let ourselves led by Daily Fail and The Sun...
Nothing personal Adrian, just my experience in areas where I live, nowt to do with the Daily Fail or the sun, just my experience.

I have run my own commercial landscaping firm for over 15 years now, in edinburgh and I have seen a big drop in what people are prepared to pay now compared to back in the early 00's, and I know the reason.

Oh and my dad works in construction and is currently earning more than he ever has, he has seen no signs of skilled workers wages being lowered to accommodate eu citizens working on site

Working in construction, in what city ?
-
I am unable to go into the details of my role but I work for a eu organisation. As part of working there a requirement is citizenship in a eu member state. So no I will not just be able to apply for a work visa and carry on. You seem to think that any Uk citizens working abroad will be allowed to stay working whereas any Eu citizens working in the Uk will have to leave. What makes us so special to expect that?

Like most migrants to countries where the skills are needed, and free movement is not an option, you have a required skill set, why else did you get the job you've got !
The other way to look at this situation is this.....The countries they are leaving, if the rate of migration to the key EU countries continues, will only leave huge issues in their home country, how is that a good thing for the poorer EU country ?. Think 25 years down the line, everybody in Europe all crammed into the rich western countries !!
