  2. Cheers chaps. Would I be able to lay it directly onto treated decking, or does it need a plywood base?

The area I'm looking to do is 7m X 4m which (after a quick search) would be circa £250 ish to fully cover in artificial grass. Given the amount of time and £££ it takes each year/18 months to re-do the decking, I didn't think that was too bad.

I would tbh, as then you've got firm flat surface to use, as opposed to a ribbed and spaced surface, will prevent it from tearing easily also if you ply board it

  3. If you can lay a carpet, you can lay this stuff, pretty much the same procedure. Just lay a 6 mm ply board base and away you go. Not difficult at all mate.

Edit: Make sure you either paint or waterproof the ply before laying the A G.

  4. I agree, however, if you have got to 30, 40, 50 or above an have no idea, well there is not much hope, but hey even i didnt know which way to vote apparently ;)

I think what i am saying is, you would hope at 30 or 40+ you will (or should) have an understanding (at least some) of the world, when i think back to when i was 18 ish i may have "thought" i knew, but looking back, i really didnt and how was i ever supposed to, i had just been released from education, recently playing around on bmx/skateboards etc and not long discovered boobies and alcohol, hell if i stumbled on a clitoris through good fortune i would rub it like a stain out a carpet, yet i am supposed to hold the fate of the country in my hands.....

  , I'm lmao at this Jetpilot, funniest forum post I've read in ages

  5. Vauxhaul Magnum 2.3 1973–1978 - so underated (great sleeper) few mods and this was epic fun (allowing for mid 70's handling)

Theres a blast from the past......my auld man had one in the early 80's, unfortunately it was bought at an auction and quickly became a heap of rust lol. Still remember my mum going ape @*!# at my dad for buying it

  6. Any reason you discounted them and prefer the Evo / XKR?

If I thought I could get insured (sensibly) on an SC Monaro I'd have one in a heartbeat, but I highly doubt it, so I'm left with the VXR8. I reckon the Evo / XKR will cost a lot more when the inevitable scary bills crop up, so the VXR8 is a somewhat safer option in my eyes... that or an IS-F.

Although I think a C5 Z06 or base C6 is currently at the top of my list.

No specific reason, they just don't float me boat

  7. That's my birthday weekend ....... my son (ShaunRS) and me are up for this, just need to clear it with the other half's docwra. I'll check out the link to it and get back to you asap.

Edit: Just checked the decibel limits, that'll be my Zed out  , but Shaun will be fine in his RS, so will look at the additional driver options package with camping.

  8. Yeah had a look at them 3 years ago when I was looking for another car but the v8 Jeep won. Yes they are completely different cars but love them both tbh, may even get both of them eventually lol. Love the rawness of the evo, but also love the smoothness of v8's so will be a difficult decision when it comes around.

  9. I've been thinking similar of, mainly due to that I've taken my 350z modding as far as I am willing too, so would kinda like a new project and blank canvass bone stock next car to get modding. Although I love the 370z, it doesn't float my boat as much as the 350z does, but that just a personal choice. Im deliberating between either a Evo VI or Jag XKR. But the jag is kind of winning at the moment, with its V8 and tunability for easy 500 + horses and the fact you don't see any modded ones around. The Evo comes in at 440bhp in stock form and easily further modded and tuned also, but I'm an old git so the Jag will probably win. Main reason for either car is booooost, all 3 of my cars are N/A so a boosted car for my next modding project has to have FI.

  10. Don't understand Aviva, I'm with them on the moddified policy...... £350.00 and my Zed is modded to death and I'm the same age as you.

Have you tried Grove & Dean, they're my brokers. I run 5 vehicles, three business and two personal and they never been beaten on price in 10 years Ive been with them.

  11. Evilscorp + Clan Japan + Irn Bru. Leaving Bothwell Services at 10.30, expect to be at Road Chef Annandale services for 12.30pm to meet with Bigjimg but will call you when we are 5 miles away Jim.

Annandale services to Knutsford is another 2.30hrs so would likely be around 3.00pm when we reach there.

Knutsford services to Northampton and hotels is another 2.15 hrs so I'd say we will get to hotels around 5-5.30pm

All travel times are based on Google maps so we may be quicker but if you are meeting up with us then pm me your mobile so I can keep you updated on our progress down.

  12. In a straight line race would a super charged 350z producing 400 bhp outpace a Ford RS giving out 300 bhp?

Yes.... Chubby Ninja spanked a 380bhp Audi A3, from launch up at Crail, evenly matched till Stevie got into 3 gear and then left him in his dust
