  1. Some pics of the car all stickerd up at round one of Time Attack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah we've done a couple of CarDips now. This and the Civic FD2. Both went on nice and smooth. The gun metal looked even better than the yellow on the civic. I did get a set of the PMU pads but then decided to go for a full BBK. All from CompBrake 2 piece floating discs all round 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears. The callipers look very nice and the current set up is very lacking. Hopefully they will arrive some time soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Well here's the finished car dip. Was going to do the roof and bonnet a fancy blue colour. Don't think I'll bother now. It's come out even better than the FD2 did. Tomorrow morning is sticker time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Well. Started fitting the kill switch, fire extinguisher system and fancy new time attack rain light/cool down lap light at the start of the week. Now all done. Tonight we had a go at dipping the car. Looks awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Finally got some time to go and pick the Z back up. Even stole an evening to fit my suspension bits. All went smoothly. Amazing how light the original parts are. The new adjustable bits are a tad heavier. I'll take some pics of the fitted bits later. Next job is to sort exhaust out. Hopefully before the first Time Attack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Been too busy with work to progress with the race car of late:( I suspect it'll all get done shortly though. I've gone down a totally different route for brakes now. Will hopefully have some pics in the near future. I did get some Mu's but I've not taken them out the wrappers, just going to sell them on. Some shiny bits arrived today though. 7. So my JDM 350z soon to be race car has a cobra exhaust on it. No idea if it's any good performance wise but it sounds decent. One cat appears to have started to crack on the weld and the other cat looks like a pigeon took a s$€t on it, also on the weld. So must have gone previous. Any way besides the point. I'm going to make up a few exhausts along with removable cats and see which performs the best. Anyone tested the various options? Ive been told 2 all the way gives the most power. We shall see. Will hopefully get done over the next few weeks. Pics to follow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Why wouldn't you want one. Bar the cost that is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Quotes for....? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Akebonononono

Think I'm going for a big brake up grade and getting rid of the 370z Akebono brakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Experience with pads falling apart. Could have been a one-off I suppose. Still. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. YeAh Syvecs is what I'm going for, as soon as the money is there. Brakes 1st though:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Can't imagine there's much in it. Don't know how much the OEM Rays weigh but the Grids seem pretty decent weight wise. Without spending a fortune that is. Wouldn't put EBCs on my nieces push bike, already ordered the project Mu pads and the Rotas are on the car so no looking back on either front. Seriously considering the Project Mu two piece discs next. Biiiiiiiiig costs though. Will look at alternatives first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Right I've taken my Z on track for the 1st time for a bit of a shake down. The only things that are somewhat lacking are the tyres which are now seriously upgraded and on new Rota grids and the brakes. So thinking a decent set of pads will probably sort things right out. Can't get my usual Ferodo DS3000 pads so look about I quite like the look of the Project Mu Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. New Rota Grids and Kumho V70 tyres. Next on the list brake Pads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. My dad forgot the GoPro so no decent video I'm afraid. Here's a little drive by vid though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Had a bit of a blast out today at Oulton Park. The Z performed well, feels good driving a RWD for a change. A really good turn in and very stable. Heal and toe is a must:)can't wait till the rest of the mods have been done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. got the last few jobs done today to get the Z ready for its first outing tomorrow. Just about managed to get the fuse box tucked away, now the cage is in the way. The front lexan windows are in too. Let see how it goes:). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I don't think there will be a huge difference once the inner skin, wiper motor etc have been removed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Had the front, rear and quarter windows put back in this evening. This time of light weight lexan variety, and the only bit of the car we didn't do ourselves. Will have the door windows in tomorrow, also plastic but they'll still function as normal, got plastics4performance to add a special hard coating that cost a fortune so should last well:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cage done. We are wrapping the cage in the front half of the car in faux suede. Posh dash now back in minus the air bag, carpets minus some of the sound deadening. Plus awesome new rota grids arrived. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. and the wheels arrive! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. so largely by design and a small amount of happy coincidence, we were able to cut the bottom of the door cards off and clear the door bars no problem:) going make it look nice and neat. Get to keep the window winders in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'll have a word with Chris tomorrow about how much it would be. I'll pm you when I figure out how on this app:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. so bar the gusseting the cage is done. Done it to MSA regs, there are other bars that could go in but that's all we need for now to meet the MSA blue book regs. We are going to add back in the bracing between the rear strut top once the bulkhead is done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
