  1. If you can say yes, yes, no, no to all these questions then you should not have to pay a penny but some could be a pain, most important thing is that they know.

    1) Is the Exhaust made for a 350z and 350z only?

    2) Is this a stainless steel system?

    3) Does this improve the performance of the car in any way? (from old cat back this should have no affect)

    4) Does the system breach the road traffic noise regulation? (i.e is it chav boy racer)

I only know of this because I spoke with an insurance underwriter at Swift Cover, The resonated Cobra mid pipe and back box fit the above criteria and at no expense on insurance.

  2. Awsome stuff, i done this but after a few thousand miles they began so slown down again, this time i got myself some motors that are aftermarket and they fit perfect and spin up like a turbine.

    Go-parts.com 350z cooling fans

  3. putting WD40 on it was the wrong thing to do as now the belt will just slip on the pulley! All that is required is to go under the car and tighten up the tensioner. Pretty simple process with some spanners and some strength

My car is the HR Think my tensioner is adjacent to the cooling fan LHS. Looks prity tight as the lines Match up?

  4. I have this low level screech on ac clutch pulley.......once I engage the ac clutch by turning the ac ON the screeching stops further more once i placed some well aimed wd40 the screech stopped altogether, I can't see wd40 lasting log, I was thinking of injecting some grease but unsure what would suit best or if such a move is daft. possibly some copper slip grease???

  5. You do not require the fan deck removed.

The belt tension is adjusted by the movement of the spring loaded tensioner pulley.

Simply check the position of the notches to determine if there is a belt issue.

    Alex. :)

    Thanks Alex

Checked it out all was ok, when I turn AC on the pulley clutch engages and sound goes, I sprayed some wd40 into the groves at front and has since stopped, may possibly need to inject some copper slip Greece?

  6. So I have had a few small problems with my HR, one being the A/C compressor makes a squeezing sound on and off. Sound goes once you use talc.

How can I tighten the AUX belt.

I'm quite happy to take out the fan deck to assist job.

I'm just guessing it needs a tighten.

  7. So guys after repairing fans before I took them out I noticed the mentioned below. At first I thought it was because previous owner could have tampered with them but you can't get it wrong if you tried.

I have spoken with a mechanic at Nissan and he tells me a batch of HRs have a factory fault whereby the RHS fan turns opposite direction to the LHS resulting in hot hair being sucked from engine into rad, he says it's never caused major issues only when the LHS fan fails.

So check and get back to me, it's a simple fix just identify the ground wires and reverse polarity.

  8. Guys I have refurbished my fans as of recently and all runs up to speed and temp needle stays below half all month long no issues, however I have notice RHS fan blows air into the radiator from engine & LHS fan sucks air through the radiator. What could I have done that’s daft, it could be remedied as I have new fan motors in post for piece of mind.

Also japex during serive said its strange but engine is cooling fine.

    P.s engine is the HR

  9. I have time to strip and clean, just trying to find the cooling system bleed screw for when I take hose off. I have a HR 313

they are running on and off but slow like wind farm... Sad face.

In that case, sounds like you will have to replace the motors unless you have the time to strip and clean them.
