  1. And then running for 26 miles+ when the fuel station you were going to use is closed
  2. The 370 indicator does not tell you when to change, simply shows the gear you are in the display all the time. As Dan says, blanking out the display by some black tape might be the only option - can't recall if there is another way to stop it. New models have small up and down arrows next to what gear you are in, to let you know to change for economy etc. To OP - I think I read somewhere that the arrows cannot be turned off Thanks mattross - that's what I'm referring to. Guess I'll just have to continue ignoring it! Thanks everyone - sorry my post wasn't particularly descriptive!
  3. And if yes, please tell me how!! I've just upgraded from a GT to a new Nismo and I'm finding the change up / down indicator quite irritating. Can't remember if I turned it off somehow on the GT or if it just didn't have it - I've taken a look through the handbook for the Nismo but couldn't see anything about it. Thanks in advance! Frannie
  4. Oh no glad you are both fundamentally ok though.
  5. I'm often in Weymouth, will keep an eye out! Mine's HJ64 - black 370
  6. Black 350 at Poole Port Marina Azure 350 at Bakers Arms Silver 350 on the A31 at Dorchester And a black n red 370 Nismo westbound on the A31 - VERY smart ! And all friendly I don't tend to see very many round here, (other than a silver 350 in Hamworthy with whom I've exchanged a wave on a few occasions), so it was nice to see a few out and about!
  7. Thanks both, I just want to get her back to immaculate!
  8. Blimey, that seems reasonable - maybe this won't be as financially painful as I first though. My poor zed
  9. Hi all, Got home this evening to discover that some complete <insertworstwordyoucanthinkof> has clouted my zed on the NF wheel arch - looks like a works trailer injury going by the amount of debris. It's scuffed all the lower arch and the top panel is buckled and pushed up into the headlight. As I live in a quiet cul de sac it's likely one of the neighbours, but as you can guess, not a note or any info in sight and I'd rather avoid insurance if I can avoid it (3 vehicles so any claim causes a hammering!). I'm based in Poole, Dorset so anyone able to recommend a good body shop? Not sure if the buckled panel can be pulled out or if it will need a new one. So angry. SO ANGRY in fact. Thanks in advance, Frannie
  10. Hiya, I'm another Poole Zedite - didn't realise there were so many of us in this area!
  11. Im glad it was not damaged too much and you managed to fix it, bastards is all I can say. Thanks, my thoughts exactly!
  12. Mine got visited by bad Santa (obviously been a bad zed) when some ignorant **** tried to smash her wing mirror off last night Thankfully Nissan engineering is pretty tough and 20mins of fiddling seems to have fixed it and it's all working again. I suppose I should be glad they didn't key it or worse , but not the Christmas present we wanted. Going to treat her to wash and a polish with my new tub of Dodo juice, and we've already had a bit of a thrash on some empty roads Hope you and your zeds all have a lovely Christmas!
  13. Eek. That's not even funny in hindsight but glad all ok! Lucky you didn't run yourself over at the same time :o
  14. Thank you. I'm feeling a bit better after reading this!
  15. Thanks, that was something that I didn't think about. Nor did I consider turning off the traction control....
  16. So easy to do though - I kerbed my last car (locally a company car) when I was watching next door faff around parking (bitten by karma, big time!). I'm paranoid about the zed wheels though and keep ending up miles off the kerb!
  17. I presume you weren't using a zed to tow a zed?! That would be a step towards practicality I can't currently imagine
  18. Haha, yep - not something to tell my Mother! I did find out where they'd come from and drop a case of beer round today to say thanks though - might have spread the zeditis a little as one was very taken with the car!
  19. LOL, that's a good excuse for not going to work though Ha, I'm a 5'10 slim female so not overly lightweight! And yes, I did have a bit of a 'moment' before I realised that if I had got it out, I would have likely gone straight through the hedge behind at an ungodly rate of knots
  20. So last night, my Zed and I had a bonding experience. I, perhaps foolishly, decided to park on her a grassy verge. She's waited patiently on this verge a few times before whilst I check my horses, and the reason she's on the verge is because she's too low to get down the track without clouting various bits of her undercarriage. However, last night, she decided that it was not in her interest to return to the tarmac. Ten mins of rocking back and forth on the clutch proved fruitless as her fat boots slid fruitlessly around and merely made the situation worse. I tried to push her off the verge (me 9.5 stone, her 1.6tonnes). No joy. Then darkness fell. I tried to shove a flattened cardboard box under the wheels. She spat it up into the wheel arches and refused to budge. Just as I decided I would have to find a handy tractor to tow her off the grass, a truck came down the track (amazing as it's a dead end track in the middle of nowhere). Swallowed my shame, and pulled my best Olive Oyl impression (imagine heyulp, heyulp - it was that bad!) and the 3 lovely chaps very kindly used a shovel they had in the back (didn't dare ask why!) to remove some turf and then shoved us unceremoniously back into her natural habitat. EM-BARR-ASS-ING! Gave me an excuse to give her a good clean today though, as there appeared to be a fair amount of mud spatter... So, things I have learnt; 1. The Zed doesn't do off road, even if said off road is flat and inoffensive 2. The Zed has a VERY fiddly cover on the towing eye. So fiddly, in fact, it didn't get used 3. Some people are very friendly and helpful, and won't take the p*** out of you for being, well, a complete girl. 4. As I now know, turning the traction control off may have helped in my quest to escape the green. 5. I am having to make some significant compromises in my life for my Zed and I LOVE IT!!! Anyone else had similar issues or are you all far more sensible
  21. Thanks for the update on this - my new 370 also has the clunk when depressing the clutch in neutral but it seems this is pretty common!
  22. I've got a 370 and my mother has a 350, both in black. Rather embarrassingly, she got hers first...
