    Welcome to the forum....with any performance car, oil consumption will be fairly high. Regular checks and maintenance of the motor will see you through a very happy ownership B)

     

    The thing with the Revup and HR engines is the increase in road tax to £505/yr.

    Don't think it's the Revup or HR that makes the difference it's when it was first registered ie from March 06 as I'm assured mine is a DE and it's £505 tax coz it's apr 06 so there are 06 DE's and they go very nearly as quickly as a Revup or HR so it really depends on all the other things you want in it 😇 mileage condition etc

    The Simple way to check is just by looking at the Rev counter. If it's got the redline at 6,500rpm then it's the DE,

    ....if it's redline is at 7,000rpm then it's an RevUp DE,

    ...if it's got a redline at 7,500rpm then it's the HR.

    Oh you are the wise one aren't you GM. Yep defo know without looking especially that red line is on 6500rpm many thanks oh wise one 😇

    How many Southwest 350z Owners?

    Im chippenham. Saw a nice black one locally the other day.

    That was probably me I'm in Calne popped to my sons in Chipp on Wednesday fir him to fit new brake pads. I'm sadly selling tho :-( so if you've got any friends who would like to buy one it's in Zeds for sale on here.

    Yeah we've moved from rented into our now renovated 'last' home and it's only a 1 mile thru traffic drive to my business daily so it's quicker to walk and not ruin the engine on the zed and hubby had recently developed a hip problem so can't get in her for us to use her in my small amount of free time😰

    So I need something that I can nip across town in when winter arrives.

    Reality sucks😡

    Now there's a thought!!!!!....might have to consider that option! You are so right love her to bits but I really do t get a moment to drive her sadly I just don't want some dickhead pratt buying her!

    Hmmm this is interesting mine was registered in uk April 2006 but after research on the vin no it was built in 2005 so how do I tell if it's an uprev? Thanks!

    Looking at the pictures from this thread, yours is a pre-face lift (the centre console is different pre & post, as are the front bumper and headlights) so it won't be a Rev-Up (the UpRev is a remap, the only way you can tell if it's been remapped is to read the ECU assuming you have no receipts for that being done).

    Oh and my son who's a Ferrari technician commented when I got the Zed 'yeah they are pretty bullet proof reliability wise' and I get 24-30mpg depending on length of trips if you keep the revs up it will drink it! But that's the beauty of the Zed speed power and handling when you want it and comfort plus easy motoring when just pootling about 😇

    Hi Christof mines up for sake on here sadly love it for a year but it's wasted on my mileage and my journey to work is now so short it'd ruin her!

    Low mileage 06 non modified will come down a tiny bit from asking of 8k so be pleased to see you if you'd like a look. I'm in Wiltshire. Sorry should have put this in a pm but it's done now!

    Whichever Zed you end up with you'll really rely enjoy it! That's a promise😎
