  1. I hope so best way to find out is to do it and see the outcome =] hah I'm hoping to sort out another set of wheels at a later date then will just be able to swop every now and then. So if one week I didn't want the blue I could put the others on hah

  2. Thanks that does look smart mate =]

Like you say the worst that will happen is I'll decide I don't like them and will spray them another colour.

Just wanted to be a bit different as I see a lot of sunset orange with black or silver wheels.

  3. Hiya mate thanks for the reply =] yeah I did see that thread thank you but like you say not the same blue or on a orange car. I think it would work though, just hard to imagine it sometimes haha

  4. I'm thinking of getting the set of Rays I've had in the shed sprayed a dark blue for my sunset orange. Not to everyone's taste I'm sure but want them to be different from the normal black or silver hah

This is the sort of blue I'm thinking..

My girlfriends dad has a motorbike that is orange and blue it seems to work in a weird way hah

My question is does anyone know anyone who has sprayed their Rays blue and have any pictures of the finished results?

  5. Hiya mate its great too hear from you how are you doing?

yupp I told you I would look after her haha

im glad you like the stance idea too I think they look awesome but its just a case of getting the money together too actually do it.

im a fan of carporn and thats what your new car is hah looks awesome very good choice =] what have you had out of it so far? hows saving for that house going ? lol

  6. What are the mod plans buddy ?. Looks good.

Hiya mate. I definetly want to get the carbon fibre side diffusers and also the carbon front lip. Not sure what to do with the rear bumper atm. Want to get some interior parts hydro dipped as I think that looks smart, new gear knob as mine is a bit worn now, Also tidy under the bonnet, And as I'm am a big fan of stanced low cars I want too get air ride when funds allow =] There will be more ofcourse haha

  7. Sorry if this has been covered already...

Ive just read through the Buster Mod twice and I'm being proper blonde..

Once you've cut / stripped the RCA cables (red/white/black/yellow) to bare wire, how do you go about attaching them to the female ports in the back of the HU..? Has anyone got a picture of the back of their HU after the mod has been completed and all wires are connected?

    :bangin:

They do not go into the female ports on the headunit, instead they are connected and soldered directly into the stereo wiring loom =]

From what I have worked out by it anyways Haha

  8. Hiya ive had a look and remember seeing something about this before but cant find it now.

since fitting my pioneer head unit the sound is quiter, if I put it up to 40 its maxium its a good volume but at that level it should be blasting out.

I remember seeing something about cutting off the audio ends into the headunit and soldering them onto the loom from the stereo.

Is there a full guide on how to do this, bit worried about cutting wires and stuff as it is working fine its just the sound level.

  9. Very nice Dean but can't believe it took you so long to get a stubby aerial.:D

Hope you're enjoying the Zed still. ;)

It did take me a while mate couldn't bear looking at it anymore though haha. I'm still loving the zed thanks but just have even more plans now and not enough money. It's saad

  10. Done a couple of things to the zed this weekend, fitted a pioneer avh-x3500dab head unit with help from my brother and the super guide on this forum very helpful. Looks a lot better than the standard and now can play CDs without it skipping hah

And also thanks to tarmac sportz for supplying and quick delivery. fitted the new stubby aerial also much better I think =]

Still lots to be done especially after having a look on the tarmac sportz website haha.

    Here's some pics.

  12. Hiya everyone, I have been on here a while now and introduced myself but haven't got round to doing this yet so here it is.

My name is Dean I'm 25 and live in a town called Irthlingborough in Northants.

I have owned my zed for nearly 2 months now and am loving it, I thought about getting one for a long time and kept looking and when this one came up for sale on here I arranged with phil to go down to Taunton too have a look. It was just what I was looking for =]

This was phil's (Broomers-zed) and he had already done some modifications which include:

    Tinted windows

    Rear wiper removed

    Miltek exhaust system

    Decat pipes

    Removed rear badges

She is a gt model and has done just over 62000 miles and is in very good condition.

Here she is after a wash.

    imagejpg4_zps41f7c078.jpg

I have done a few jobs so far to tidy her up which included spraying the wiper arms as one was badly corroded, new sidelight bulbs, my favourite so far is removing the front plate holder I think it gives a much tidier finish.

    Before

    After

    imagejpg2_zps6fea9ee6.jpg

I have started to use the clay bar as the paint was a bit rough to touch and that has made a massive difference. It's a long job but definitely worth the effort.

Also I brought a set of rays the other week with tyres but just need to get them refurbished before putting them on. And will be sorting out a stubby aerial soon of course =]

I hope I will be able to get to some meetings with the car and meet some of you

    Thanks for looking

    Dean
