ok, Im loving this project but its totally out of my depth with all that techi stuff. Why is this better than fitting a straight forward Androd tablet? What can this do that say a Samsung 10" tab cant?

yep agreed. If its GRP then tiger seal on and use plenty of self tappers, then next day remove the screws, fill in with upol easy1 or similar filler, then paint over. If its carbon fibre then dont drill where it can bee seen. Just bond it on and only screw underneath where they wont be seen. Its really easy that one you have. Duck tape it if you want

i rim waxed mine the day I put em on. Great stuff and protects against the elements to no end.

thanks Stan. I have been getting the connections with Torque but the dongles and software have been failing to talk to the ECU. Its getting frustrating that each time I buy one, I get the same issues.

Can you confirm that real time data can be gatherd through Torque on your dongle in question? If so, I'll go ahead and get one.

Thanks Guys. Looks as though there is still allot of ambiguity with using these. A lot better info this time around though so thanks for that. Gonna buy a few as stated and report back with my findings.

Ok so there has been a thread on this in the past and TBH no conclusive answers were sort.

All I need to know is which BLUE TOOTH OBD DONGLE works with DASHCOMMAND and TORQUE that can actually talk to to a 2005 DE car's ECU.

Ive tried three now and each albeit connect to my tablet via bluetooth, does not give me the live info or error messages due to "unable to talk to the cars ECU"

I'm on the verge of giving up as I really fancy all the telemetries up live on my screen that in my centre console.

So OBD dongle name, cost and where to buy it from please. Dont want to know what youve tried and did not work as thats been covered all before.

Well as I'm coming from South Wales which is a hell of a way I plan to stay over night near the Circuit so I don't have too much to travel for getting into the grounds at about 7ish am the following day and not to get up at stupid o'clock.

The rubber is OEM and never comes off tidy. Just leave it in. Any great painter should be good at masking.
