Mine came with a pioneer aftermarket stereo, but it didn't have steering wheel control adapters fitted, and it is not amazing so I bought a new one. The new one i bought was a Zenec, with built in GPS. When I went to fit the stereo, the speakers didn't work. So I went to a specialist to get a quote to just fit it. I was expecting around £50. I was quoted £420 just to fit it!!

I will have a look at the aftermarket stuff! Don't worry I am definitely not one of those mad drivers who is going out to kill himself! We are all going in slowly and gaining knowledge of the track before go any harder As I am low on funds atm its more about curiosity than buying all the stuff Hopefully by the time we go I will have enough money to upgrade the brakes and tires!

The Ring is not exactly the best place to go as a track day virgin. Do a few here first I would suggest you use their Suzuki's Swifts, great fun and your covered by their insurance. I have done track days before, just not in the Zed Ha going round on a swift does sound pretty fun!

Do you have any recommendations on the brakes? I have seen people say the Brembo breaks are okay if you upgrade the pads and get braided hose?

Thanks for all the replies! I presumed the eBay stuff was crap, but I love a good bargain I will be having a look at the Cougar store now! Definitely would want whats best as long as I can afford it! Yeah it is my first time to the Ring so definitely need to get in some extra practice! Going with a group of friends and its more about beating them than setting records Yeah the wheels are one of the top on my list of things to do! I really like the Rota grid drift wheels! So they are a must buy, need to make sure I can afford them!

Hi everyone, I have a few questions: 1. Does anyone know or can guess how much the 350z (Almost Stock) is affected by weight. For example the affect of a passenger (e.g. 9 stone) on the 350's 0-60 or just acceleration in general? I have read on other websites saying that 100lbs (on different cars) can affect your 1/4 mile time by a second. 2. I have a trip to the Nurburgring coming up, and I was just curious what you guys think about temporary, CHEAP weight saving. For example little things such as removing the spare wheel. I have seen some people say its a bad thing, as it will effect the handling as its removing weight from the rear etc, but will this be countered by the time you save on acceleration. 3. If weight saving is recommended can anyone recommend any cheap ideas to saving weight? 4. Since I have created this forum I may as well see what you guys (from experience) think about uprev remaps? Obviously i would need to do some mods first. How much for the exhaust system and the uprev? Individually and together?

I have just had a look at it seems to be the suspension not the strut bar. I google'd it and people are saying it is the end links that need replacing, so I need to take a better look :O

I got the idea from my yoof, when I wrapped the remote shock absorber reservoir on my motorbikes in mini soft drinks cans The carbon engine cover I got from a forum member, but they're quite easy to get hold of. Try Tarmac Sportz or Cougar Store (traders on here), or even eBay Haha ah that's so cool! I remember back in the day when we had our Monster cans on our downhill bike forks. Okay thank you! I will have a look around I have just bought my 350z so I am looking at little bits to brighten up my engine bay

Wow everyone is so nice here saying welcome! Yeah I was guessing mine was the plastic, been a bit too busy recently to have a proper look. I will try to take off plastic covers later this week and see what happens! Thanks for the replies everyone!

Hi, When I am going slowly over little bumps my rear strut bar seems to creak. I don't know if it is the plastic cover or the arm itself. I was just wondering if anyone had the same issue or has any idea what could be the cause/fix? Thanks for any help!

Hi, I know I am a few years late for this forum but I have just bought myself a 2004 350z GT. It comes with a pre-installed double din head unit. I want to replace it with one that has built in GPS. Does anyone know any good ones? Or has anyone had any good/bad experiences with any?
