As I currently have no 305Z or 370Z work on, I thought I'd post a thread showing what I'm up to at the moment. Which is a part retrim on a 300ZX.
He wanted his rear seats fully trimmed in black leather with red topstitching, to compliment the new bucket seats he'd bought. In addition, he wanted his sunvisors, indtrument cover and passenger door handle trimmed to match. For his doorcards and interior panels, he asked for red leather with black topstitching.
So I collected a set of rear seats on Saturday gone and set to work. Here is the end result:
Now, his sunvisors. These are, frankly, a pain to build as I've had to make them out of two separate pieces of leather which are then painstakingly handstitched together. The end result, I think, is rather striking:
Very time-consuming work! But they should add a nice unique touch to his interior when everything's refitted.
Right, back to work!!

Are you talking everything that's in that picture (bar the steering wheel) that has red stitching on it? Lower half of the dash, doorcards, etc...?
-
How much to redo seats?
A pair of seats in straight leather with no embroidery would be around £650. Embroidery, Alcantara, perforated leather, etc will add to the price though.

Oh yeah, we're now on Twitter as of today as well
@hide_n_seat if anybody wants to follow the exploits!

They cut the crank itself or the crank pulley...?

I can recommend H&S they retrimmed the wheel and gearknob on my R34 GTT
Planning to get some of the interior done on my 370 later this year
Nice to see you, mate - and thanks for the recommendation!
And thank you all for the welcome. If you'll excuse me, I have a PM to reply to...

Love the name!
Haha! I wanted something a little lighthearted... it doesn't seem to be working out too badly so far

I will be looking into this soonish but wont be anywhere near you. Can gaitors etc be made up and posted?
I've been known to do full retrims via mail order so posting gaiters is no problem at all
Always fancied a 60`s italian style quilted leather interior..........dread to think of the cost though
Two front seats trimmed in diamond quilted leather would be around £750. A sizeable amount of work involed in something like that, but the end result speaks for itself!

Hi. I'll start by introducing myself - my name's Si and I run Hide'n'Seat Auto Interiors, a small retrimming business.
I set up at the start of 2010 and I've been an active trader on Celica Club since then. I've branched out onto the 300ZX forum (as I own one of those beasts) and the Escort Cabriolet forum. I'm now looking to expand further so, following Lexx's recommendation, here I am!
What do I offer? In a nutshell, pretty much any interior retrim, redesign or accessories you can think of. I started off using solely leather but I now offer leather, Alcantara, fabric... whatever you want, really.
I can source practically any colour or shade of leather. I tend to use Andrew Muirhead leather hides as these have been UV-treated especially for automotive applications. It doesn't hurt that this is the supplier to numerous airlines and can be found throughout every single British Airways First Class cabin!
Alcantara or OEM fabric more your thing? Not a problem. I have a number of suppliers who can provide what's required.
Should people want any logos or suchlike embroidering onto seats or panels, I can outsource that easily as I have an ongoing agreement with a local embroidery firm who do exceptional work!
Whilst not necessarily related to 350Zs or 370Zs, I've become something of a Recaro specialist and have an ongoing trade discount with Capital seating, the UK's only authorised supplier of Recaro spares and accessories.
The Hide'n'Seat website can be found at www.hidenseat.co.uk but it is in desperate need of updating at the moment. The most up to date information and pictures can be found on my Facebook page, which is here.
Everyone loves pictures, so here are some of mine:
Interior retrims:
Steering wheels:
Gearknobs:
Hopefully that should whet a few appetites!
I'll work out a price list as I go - at the moment, I'd suggest dropping me a PM if you want any more information or a quote to have any work done. Smaller jobs (up to and including steering wheels) don't really need to be booked in as such but seats and suchlike do - as it stands today, I'm booked up until around the start of July.
And I'll end by saying I'm looking forward to becoming a fixture here. Thanks!

Thanks, Lexx - your help has been very much appreciated!
I'll be setting up my section this afternoon (once I've been and posted a few orders out) bit I will say that a huge amount of my work is done by mail order... even full interiors!
-
Just waiting on an Admin to set up your sub forum.
Apologies for the delay.
Nothing to apologise for, Al. As long as I'm not breaking any rules already!!
-
Interested in some interior parts to be re-trimmed, its not a nissan but are you open to any work from any vehicle?
Thanks
I'm assuming that, as I've paid the fee but my section hasn't been set up yet, I won't get shot off the Powers That Be for any of my posts so far! I work on any vehicle, not just a specific marque or model.

Very interesting....
Need some pics for inspiration as my imagination not very good
As soon as everything's confirmed and my little Trader section's set up, I'll be posting a portfolio
