You say luck... I say good judgement, accurate measuring (and a certain degree of luck)...

I do my very best, sir

Those door cards look stunning
Is the red really that bright in the flesh?
Thank you
And yes, the red's a nice vibrant shade - it really does suit the body colour!
-
Definitely worth all the hard work then
Thanks guys - very much appreciated!

Looks fantastic imo. Really loving the door cards.
Well, you did say you were looking forward to finding out what I'd done with them...
-
Yes utterly gobsmacked in a very good way !!!!
Happy days!

Superb work, I know what Craig means though, I think the Zed seats lend themselves to a 2 tone colour job
This is my opinion: two-tone seats can look really nice but black and red on seats looks a bit tacky. The doorcards can pull it off because the rest of the interior plastics are so dark. Again, this is solely my opinion.
I think the red seats and silver stitching add an air of (dare I say it...?) class to the cabin...
And the whole thing certainly stands out now, but in a nice way!

Superb job, love all that you have done.. You must have Saints patience and a lot of skill...
Well done
Thank you. It's definitely not an easy task making a bespoke cover for an awkwardly shaped doorcard, and fitting it's no fun either!
But it's all about the end result, and as long as Rob's happy...

Gobsmacked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a good way, I hope...?

Doorcards. Cos this wasn't a pain in the a$$ to build and fit at all!!
Rob had an idea of what he wanted them to look like, so I've adapted the original thought (to include more stitching - silly me!) and come up with something that'll brighten the cabin up no end! As you can see, the black and red sections are broken up by the silver topstitching, which ties everything nicely in with the seats and... something else...
I can not stress enough how much of a task these were to do! So, if anyone thinks "I'd quite like that in mine!" then be prepared for them to not be cheap...
I'm sure that these won't be to everyone's tastes but, as ever, all thoughts and comments are welcomed.

Awesome love it...

Schlong area I would have done in black for effect but overall 11/10
Nah, that would've looked weird on an otherwise completely red seat!

I half-considered doing away with it, for the sake of simplicity... but it had to stay, really. Wouldn't be a proper trim job if I started leaving parts out!
As for the doorcards: all that's left is for me to finish them off. Which is going to be a mammoth task and one, if I'm honest, that I'm not looking forward to at all!

If you look closely in the first couple of pictures from today, you can see a doorcard sneaking into shot...

Looks epic
that's a lot of skill time and patience right there ! Top job
You're not wrong there!!

Cheers, Al.

Steady progress now
Both seats are now completed!
I wanted to keep a fairly OEM look and still keep the colours consistent, so the original grey pocket on the back of the passenger seat was a "no" - instead, we now have:
A colour-coordinated red pocket!
It's the little things, I think. And here are both seats back where they belong again:

Thanks, guys.
There's sooo much work involved in these seats... I'm glad to see the back of one of them!
I'm about to get cracking finishing the passenger seat so that should be back in the car early tomorrow.
