  1. 45-50k on a boosted forged engine, Im not surprised its gone tbh thats a good innings.

Triple plate clutch will have been putting more strain on the thrust bearing for starters, and only running a unichip piggybavk on a build like that?

In my opinion Id have the block ripped apart and get new bearings, and any necessary machine work, bores rehoned and a new set of rings whilst youre in there.

Then get new management asap, link plug and play ecu is only £1100 now.....

  2. Ivw got an azure v1 with a very small crack at the base for 160+delivery.

The crack is so small i doubt youd notice if i hadnt said tbh

  3. Pre revup lower plenum has different length runners than the revup I believe and its that that gives the differences, shaving the snouts is just a little extra and very easy to diy.

I have a spare lower, pm me and ill check which it is and can do the mrev mods for you if you like if its previous and then post if off to you, obvioualy youd have to pay me for the lower though ;)

  4. Sasha Anis back to back tested a true dual vs a single and the dual murdered the power figure.

Problem is that na relies on the scavenging effect of each pulse (creates a vacuum behind it when the velocity is correct) as that helps pull the exhaust gasses out of the next cylinder duals need a REALLY good x pipe to keep this happening, and without it you lose a lot of power over a good single. H pipes are no good as they just dont transfer that vavuum well enough between the banks (v8 boys in america have found this as well, h pipe is lower power than x pipe)

  5. Test drove the M235i recently with 8spd auto bix and sport suspension (can be set harder etc). OMG WHAT A CAR!! agree with everyrhing Doc says, absolute weapon, bmw approved power package takes them over 400bhp with warranty in tact and the warranty covers trackdays...... Once my house sells there may well be one appearing on the drive.

  6. Bloody autocorrect adding the u again.

Theyre a budget coilover, not even comparable to kw v3 or the Tein monosports...... Yeah i was blunt but I have a dislike of budget coilovers :) My idea of good suspension is worlds different to others, hence bc being labelled a good suspension by some..... Genuinely I just think thats because they dont know any better.

If you want to send some my way onve the car is back together I'll happily back to back test them with the monosports and give an honest review if you think they would be comparable.

Or if youve got a shock dyno plot for them to show that might prove theyre comparable.

Budget suspension has its place in the market but lets not start making it out to be something it isnt

  7. I havent treated them and theyre showing no signs of corrosion or siezing. I bought them second hand off here too, theyre really improved theyre coatings over their old reputation :)

Going really low knavkers the roll centres and will make the car roll more despite harder suspension just as a btw

  8. Imho only the monosporta will give a good fast road setup put of those listed.

Bc and torquen are very much 'budget'coilovers, ie @*!#.

Kw v3 are a track orientated coilover. Theyre very good, dont geg me wrong but theyre designed for track.

The monosports have a dual flow valve which only tein and ohlins offer, tbis allows a firm dampening rate but if you hit a big bump the dual flow valve ipens amd softens the suspension thus absorbing the bump better.

Ive got monosports and was really impressed with them and ive had experience of a range of coilover brands
