    Well, I was supposed to be fitting my Buddy Club Type A gear knob. Had a struggle getting the OEM knob off and ended up mangling it!

    The Buddy Club knob was 12x1.25 instead of 10x1.25....! I was knob-less....

     

    Had to get the old lathe into life and turn down some ratty wooden pole:

    Could do with some varnish but I actually quite like the feel of it. Got some good leverage, making changes a little easier...

     

    Correct size Buddy Club should arrive tomorrow...

     

    Careful you don't get splinters in the meantime :lol:

    Has anyone notice these Zeds dont seems to turn heads...i use to own a CW DC5 before i brought my Z..to me i

     

    think the Z is far better looking car than the Integra DC5.. had loads of people use to say how gorgeous the 5 is..

     

    now no one seems to look at my Z as much.. not that i'm bothered. suppose the Zeds are more common than the 5.

    Mine seems to turn heads a lot! Or more than my previous car anyway. I had a black Civic Type R FN2 before with black/silver lip BBS-style wheels and definitely get more looks and comments with my Zed. Maybe its the colour?

    Would you get a ticket for overtaking in the right hand lane of a motorway? I went to overtake and as I was doing so clocked a speed van that I couldn't see until it was already too late as it was hidden by a lorry in the left lane. I'd say I was doing around 80mph.

    Replaced my Rays with 19 inch Rota GTRs last year. Very pleased with them. Photo below to show you how they look.

    I really like the Lxz, they were on my list but imho unless they have a monster dish, they dont look anywhere near as good, so kind of rules them out unless you do major archwork or run silly camber.

     

    Dave from Jdmdistro couldnt be more helpful, i spoke to him yesterday and he pretty much bent over backwards to get me sorted. He is always worth a call if you want something specific, tell him what you want and he will find it, only downside is if you want them soon he will have to airfreight them from Japan, around £350.

     

    Meister R did have a healthy discount on new Enkeis recently, not sure if its still running.

     

    Yeah the LXZ are a lovely looking wheel, see what you mean about the level of dish though, although I'm not keen on too much dish tbh. Yes they are still running the discount, just need to decide on what I want!

    The beauty of getting old is you can wear what you want and dont give a s--t what anyone thinks. As long as you think your cool you probably are.....thats what i tell meself as the other half just gives me a strange look .... :lol:

    Nothing wrong with buying used wheels at all. Thousands of people do it.

    Driftworks is a good place to keep an eye out for used wheels :thumbs:

     

    Ok awesome, I've been looking on there but nothing much has caught my eye.

    Just been looking at wheels (again) as I'm wanting to change my Rays. Been considering getting a set of used JDM wheels such as Weds, Work or SSR's etc. I've seen a few for sale that I like..

    Are buying used sets a good idea or am I better off getting a new set? If new I am thinking to go Rota's or very tempted to get some Enkei RPF1's..
