I have carbon vinyl wrapped my ash tray, and both window B pillar sections. It's my first wrapping attempt so looks a bit naff but I got better each time at least haha Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Other side: In my 3 attempts I have gotten better which I guess is a good thing haha The main thing to watch out for is little bits of grain or dirt on the part you're wrapping as the first pillar section has a few bubbles where dirt is clearly under neath. Off now guys! Thanks! Randy I've removed them to wrap them and was planning on wrapping the rubber seals as well. Is this not adviseable? And would it hurt just removing them completely? Do they serve much of a purpose? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Hey guys, Here is my first attempt at wrapping something in 3M carbon vinyl. I did the ash tray as I thought if I frigged it up too bad it wouldn't cost me a great deal of wrap, lol What do you think?! Be kind! Grundy, he said on his second post he didn't really want an auto, I was going off of that. Of course the auto is the only option for some people, but to me I just couldn't have one. I've had heaps of autos in the past and some have possibly been faster than the manual equivalent with a shoddy driver. But I say if you can drive a manual, and want a manual, get a manual. Obviously if budget is an issue this can put strain on such choices. Personally I would hold out for a manul. There are bargains to be had. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

This will be taken the wrong way; But to me a Japanese Import with Automatic transmission is the work of the devil, lol It seemed to be the easy way out, a way to spend as little money as possible. I saw loads for sale whilst looking for a car and avoided them like the plague. Maybe I was wrong to. Bear in mind I paid £4550 for my 2004 UK GT Manual. I paid about £2000 less than what other sellers were demanding mainly just because of the mileage. With 117,000 miles on the clock alot of potential buyers were put off. But with full service history and the booklet fully stamped up, I made a cheeky offer and got the car for what I consider to be a bargain. I budgeted a few grand to put to one side incase anything bad went wrong of course. But you can spend £3000 on a 350Z or £10,000. In my opinion if something is going to go wrong it will. What is your budget and how much is the car in question? It would have to be £3500 or less for me to consider it. If you can save another £1000 or so you can get a UK GT like mine. One must pop at some point. Mileage snobs will tell you to avoid one with any more than 30,000 on it though lol Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Investigation time is over, lol. Left the car running for about 30 minutes from cold this morning and sure enough the smell was there. Quite powerful stink too! That rules out the clutch thankfully, also those calipers look expensive so I'm glad they are okay. What we guessing then guys, oil leak on drivers side cam cover leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold? I am about as mechanically minded as an orangutan so can't do nowt. Also the car is too low to view the entire exhaust system to see if a bag etc is trapped. Guess it's a trip to a local indy with a ramp then! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Thanks guys. I'm off tomorrow and have a few errands to run so will start the car a good 20 mins or so before I leave and have a sniff lol. Ebized yeah its the same issue. What I thought was tyre wear was actually gravel off the drive where I had just parked. But it could possibly still be brake related which is why I can smell it from that area. Will test tomorrow though. Assuming if I can smell it whilst it's stationary it's a leak of some sort. Hey guys, Recently after a spirited jaunt in the 350 I noticed a burning smell coming from the drivers side somewhere. I thought it was the tyre but it isn't as I can drive 2 minutes slowly down the road and when I park up and get out the burning smell is still there. It seems when I drive the car faster the smell gets worse. I'm thinking clutch? The smell occurs every time I drive the car now. My next test will be to start the car and leave it running on the drive for 20 minutes to see if the smell happens even when the car isn't moving. That should narrow it down a bit more, right? The car has 117,000 with no evidence of clutch change so I allowed for this when buying the car. But I wanna know for definite. The clutch doesn't seem to slip though which is the odd thing. Personally I don't mind it. The front bumper may be a bit too big but I've kept my car completely stock as I prefer the factory look. It certainly does look different yours and alot of time money and effort has clearly gone into it. Once the spacers are on it will look a lot better as even my stock GT needs spacers. Ebized, know just what you mean. It seems to have heaps of power and torque even in 5th and 6th just cruising along. Put your foot down in 6th at 30 and she's fine. Unless my driving sucks, but I've never had a clutch go on me and I don't ride it etc. Checked under the bonnet and that smelt fine funnily enough, the smell seemed to come from the centre area of the car.
