  1. Thanks for all your help above CS and via PM, looking forward to hear the Cobra fitted!!
  2. Thanks CS, may just do that. I wouldn't be able to fit it and its going into TDI for its brakes on the 30th so might buy and ask them to fit.
  3. Thank you for your reply 14N, very helpful. It is OEM but thinking this a chance to change it for similar money to OEM. It is a large crack where one meets the other so sounds about right. Will ask and go from there!
  4. So my exhaust was blowing and took to the garage and need a rear exhaust sleeve and gasket. As I am not too mechanically minded what am I looking at buying? Garage quoted 325+VAT for parts so I assume its most of the rear exhaust system. Is this the kind of thing I need to be looking at: http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/Cobra_350z_Resonated_Exhaust_System/Cobra-350z-Res.aspx Thank you for any advice!
  5. I have the same noise from the rear passenger side, exhaust is getting replaced this week so going to get them to check out the shocks, drop links, bushes etc. so will update as to what mine is, although sounds pretty much identical.
  6. Behind a nicely modded Grey Fairlady this morning from Congleton, not seen it around before, 04 plate if I remember rightly.
  7. I've seen a silver coupe in Knutsford a few times now, posted here a while ago. I have waved or flashed a couple times but just get a confused look back.
  8. So had mine 6 months now. Needed a P3 service - £300, four new tyres - £depends on the quality you want, new discs all round - £300, 26mpg - normal drives to work and spirited drives and since buying an RDX stubby aerial- £13, Zeditis has kicked in and now planning to spend £1k plus later this year on engine/exhaust, plus a couple of interior bits I want to sort. This is before road tax and insurance, isn't a cheap car to run as people have said many times above but the smile it puts on my face is worth it and I don't have any ideas of selling it soon.
  9. Going this year having never been before. Been to Goodwood a few years so will be interesting to see how it stacks up.
  10. Had my service yesterday with TDI, good guys and very knowledgeable. As I waited for the car rather than leaving it, they allowed me to ask plenty of questions with the car on the ramps as I'm not too mechanically minded which was good, so I would recommend.
  11. Thanks CS, I'm based on the Cheshire/Staffs border so may be a little far.
  12. Hi all, I bought an 08 350 last year and although it has been service I'm not sure how well. Just clocked 50k so it will need a 'health check' and P3 service I'm guessing. Any recommendations for North West/North Midlands servicing? Guessing TDI North would be a good shout? Thanks in advance.
  13. Midnight blue 350 here. Will look out for you guys!
  14. Floydbax, what model and colour and I'll keep an eye? Not seen many around on my daily commute.
  15. White 370 following me from Holmes Chapel out on the A50 towards Knutsford. I was in a midnight blue/San Marino (don't know the 'official' colour) 350Z. Never been followed by a 370 before, looked really good and very clean for a white car at this time of year!
  16. A week ago I finally picked up my Z after taking in all the advice available on here which really helped. Absolutely loving it!
  17. Thank you for all your comments. In light of a proper look round the car I walked away from the deal. However happy that I have found a similarly priced and similar mileage 08 GT so very happy.
  18. Its a refundable deposit, deal isn't done yet. Thank you all for your honest responses, I hoped it might bring some negatives so I was fully aware. It has some superficial nicks as you would expect for a 6 year old car but will come with the Nissan care4 scheme, so two years warranty and MOT insurance and one years servicing which I guess is built into the price and should stop any large outlays in the first couple of years of ownership.Discussing with dealer tomorrow so will get the buyers guide memorised and get my best negotiation spiel going!
  19. As I mentioned in the newbie thread got a holding deposit down on the below Z, going check out the service book etc and properly have a thorough inspection as had limited time to see it before. Due to the level of expertise on the forum would really appreciate any thoughts/comments on things I should check? Appears to be an 07 plate but an 06 model as no bonnet bulge, is there anything as its an 06 model that I need to be aware of? http://www.westwaynissan.co.uk/used-cars/nissan-350z-grey-49498
  20. The deposit is down, just the finer points of the finance to sort and then I'll be the proud owner of a 350
  21. Thanks guys! If all goes well will be putting up a pic of my Z soon!
  22. Hi all, Currently lining up a 350z after many years of wanting one so thought Id say hello!
