  1. Thanks Will,

Yep, I'm tying to do a silver and blue thing, changed the door sills for Silver ones, blue K & N Typhoon induction, blue and silver "bling" engine bolts, sprayed the battery and brake fluid covers silver too, sprayed my stubby silver and blue too. Going to get my plenum silver powder coated rather than polished. :teeth: Will try and get some pictures posted this week.

Very nice job there, you definitely have the blue thing going on :)
  2. Will do buddy :D

Was going to clean my today but it bloody rained here!! So I turned the ESP off and went for a nice little jaunt, now that was interesting

Is that another Zed in your garage? :surrender: Just looked a bit closer, it's not!

  3. Set of 4 x 18" Standard Alloys, 2 rear & 2 front. Collect from Dorking, Surrey or arrange delivery by me (my van) at a reasonable rate. There are absolutely no curb scuffs, there are one or two barely visible marks on two of the rims. Complete with boxes for safe transportation.

    Now only £200.oo

    Thanks for looking. :D

  4. I feel so much better now I am not alone

Ditto with the pressure applied and the squeak vanishes tho :)

I also have squealing issues which I hope to cure today. I also noticed the lack of shims on the front pads so I took off the shim looking material off the back of the front pads and used them on my new pads. I hope that ooober amounts of copper grease will resolve the problem.

My brakes only squeal after the brakes are warm although apply more pressure to braking and the squealing goes away. I will see the results hopefully after the re-grease

  5. Guys,

    2004 GT Brembo Manual

    Help please.

Here's the story, about 400 miles ago, maybe less, I changed all brake pads and replaced them with EBC reds, since then at very low speed and light braking I have a horribly annoying squeak from the offside rear, all others are fine. The squeak does not appear at at any other time!!! I used copper grease on every pad and I took the rears off yesterday and re-greased just to be sure and it still squeaks!! I also gave the rear pads a gentle rub with fine emery paper as they did have a "glazed" look to them. There is a strange peculiarity to the tale though - when I changed the pads there were no shims on the front sets and I have left them off (rightly or wrongly) and I'm sure there are opinions ref this. There WERE shims on the rear and I replaced them with new ones.

1 Should there be shims all round or not?

2 Would shims cause the problem?

3 Should copper grease be applied more liberally?

The answers to these questions and any other advice would be muchly appreciated.

    Cheers

    G :)

  6. You are a top man buddy  Count me in, sounds like a whole shed full of Zed fun :drive1

Well I`ve just had an eventful evening, after a pretty poor day at work thought I`d take the Zed for a quick blast. A quick blast turned into a 4hour adventure, I have discovered some new driving roads in Kent :drive1 and of course visited plenty of the ones I already knew of :ninja:

Usually I like to enjoy every square inch of the tarmac for every second I possibly can before meeting of road users  but today I eased off for a second everytime I found a really good section of road, to hit the :dots: flag button on the sat nav. Then continued to enjoy the car to the full :drive1 (well almost)

So I have a plan to re-visit these new found roads in the light of day to see if there as enjoyable, personally I prefer driving at night but others may dis-agree. After my re-visit I`m going to compile a route, probably quite a long one, not for the faint hearted to which I`ll post a thread up (Garden of England Hoon, or something like that). With the nature of the roads it will have to take place either early on a Sunday morning or preferably an evening.

Hope this will interest those of your who may not be so local, I`m not planning it to be in the very near future, probably end of the year/ early next year :)

  7. Thanx Daz, we're probably going up Friday mid afternoon, ring when your ten mins away and we'll make sure there's a drink waiting :drunk:

Colin, 15. grlnet is actually GLRNET ;)

Good to see the Surrey guys attending, I think your mini run on Sunday may have swayed them in the right direction :drive1 I would suggest a convoy on the way up but I doubt I`ll be heading up until Friday evening

  8. Make sure you get me one!!!:D (with a stubby)

Really did laugh out loud, you are off you're trolley  I'll phone the Turkish Consulate and warn them of your impending arrival in their lovely country!! :secret:

Not likely, see you at the next meet with my Azure Fez

  9. Id go anywhere to hear tour zorst and see you have ur ass buffed!!!;)

He heard you the first time Daz!!!

If this goes ahead, perhaps I can fall back on some of the more local drivers to plan the route (Colin) ;)

    PARDON

(350 in-phone has a lot to answer for  )

Yep, sure I can do something drive-wise.

Given the food went down well and the location is fairly central for most who came along yesterday hows about a regular meet there? If enough interest I'll sound out the pub management to see what they can do to make it worthwhile for us and them. With quite a few new members from the Surrey area of late and just getting to the Wise Old Owl and home are good drives in themselves (and I can offer the other 'alf a meal out) - how does that sound?

Sounds like a good idea there Colin

Although at least one local to the area took a large detour ;)

  10. You should have been on stage, :surrender: yep, the first one out of town!! :drive1

It won't be the same with you not here!!:D:lol:

Good Location, good food, good company, great drive, lovely cars :cloud9:

I can feel the S/E Love in this thread

I'm up for it again anytime

Awe G i'm filling up.... which reminds me where is my Nectar card, need fuel
