  1. Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone has experience or can advise on this.

Have an issue releasing the boot, its not to do with the springs or not popping up fully. Its seems to be an issue with either the button or the release motor. I'm leaning towards the button as after say 10 seconds for pushing the button very hard and wiggling it around the boot will release, it's a real PITA!

I guess it's worth taking the switch apart and cleaning contacts, is there anyway to access the button without taking the rear bumper off?

    Thanks all.

    Nick

  2. Afternoon,

I'm after the opinions please from people who have upgraded to the Xtreme Clutch kit.

My HR is just about to hit 40K, clutch feels OK as it has done since the day I got it, but the OEM clutch in my opinion is a very weak point of the 350. High bite point, not easy to perform smooth fast standing starts, bite point seems to fluctuate and on two occasions over the last 3 years, the clutch has got stuck half way which I believe is down to the substandard CSC.

Sometimes it detracts from enjoying the car.

So for those who have changed to the Xtreme setup, is it worth the money, do you wish you had done it earlier?

    Cheers

    Nick

  3. Hi all,

Just after some real life experience from those who have replace OEM springs with the likes of Eibach and Tein on OEM shocks, is there a noticeable improvement on bounce / body control? Is the ride still comfortable? All I'm looking for is to improve the body control when going over bumps at speed and changing direction quickly.

Secondly can anyone comment on their experience with upreving an HR engine, I wont be improving the induction system, I currently run a cobra cat back system, not looking to change any other components, is a uprev worth the investment?

    Many thanks

    Nick

  4. haha fair enough, ive read that HR should fit onto DE as long as its not the cat or something but its rather confusing. what make is your exhaust?

    Cool, it's OEM Nissan system.
  5. The pride and joy is in for her MOT, I hate leaving it in the hands of other people, I'm sat here in the waiting room eyes glued to her and the "mechanics" They gave her a cheeky blip from the throttle and everyone comes out to look, HA! That's enough now chaps!

  6. Evening all, favour please, I'm looking at getting the GT style front lip from Tarmac for my HR, but can't find any decent pictures of it fitted. If anyone has this lip on a facelift car would you mind posting up some decent pictures, close ups and side angles etc.

Also opinions, my car is night blue, would a gloss black finish or painted in the body colour go better?

    Much appreciated.

  7. Excuse my copy & paste of one of my previous posts but in case you do double your budget :)

My friend (based in Church Crookham) does it on the side and I think charges around £300 for prewash, wash, clay, correction, wax and sealant. You'd have to check with him about exact details, e.g. if it's a 1/2 stage correction etc... but I know he's meticulous and takes a lot of pride in what he does.

Let me know if you want me to send over his contact details so you can ask questions etc...

Nice one thanks, have you got any more details?
  8. Hi all,

As we all know there are LOADS of posts discussing the clutch on the 350, and we all know that the OEM clutch is not the easiest to use, I can do a better quick start in the Mrs A class 9/10 times. Anyway, what I would like to know is, are there replacements clutches out there that if installed would provide the following characteristics:-

Low biting point - (Like most cars)

Firm and consistent bit point, to avoid any clutch burn when launching.

    Less pedal travel.

FYI I'm looking for HR options.

    Thanks

  9. Hi guys,

Bit of a strange one and difficult to explain.

I've noticed over the last few months that some times when bringing the clutch pedal up whilst my other foot is on the accelerator there seems to be a interference between the two. They seem to click or resist against each other. It's really annoying, initially I kept thinking that it was the mat getting in the way, but it's definitely not. Suggests something to do with the pedal box......?

    Anyone experience anything like this?

    Thanks
