  1. Quick update, everything seems to be ok since I've blatantly blocked the car in when I'm not using it. Triple checked with everyone in the house, and somebody owned up to accidentally leaving the passenger side window open. No idea what happened with the driver side window a few days after that, but nothing has happened since then. I'll post an update if anything else happens, hopefully it's all good now.
  2. May have to do this. I had the battery replaced last year when I was getting it serviced (would go flat in the cold if I didn't drive it every single day), but I'll get the battery checked again just to make sure. I will be hiding the keys as well. Not too worried about the car getting nicked, I don't have anything valuable in it and it's blocked in by another car anyway. So if someone does manage to steal it, then fair play to them, they must have really wanted it! I kind of hope that it's just someone at my house sitting in my car like a bit of a wally as opposed to anything else though. That'll be easily fixed with some stern words as opposed to £££.
  3. If this is just the standard window motor issue then I apologise for creating this thread. A few days ago I noticed that the passenger side window on my 2005 350z was fully down even though the car hadn't been used for a day or so. The window was up when I left the house, and down when I returned a few hours later. I checked with everyone in the house and nobody used the car for anything, or had put the window down. I assumed it was just the window motor problem, but when I started the car up the window worked perfectly fine. Just as a precaution, I switched the car around so it was facing the other way (the passenger side normally faces the road), so if it happened again it wouldn't be so easily noticeable for any passer by who fancied messing with my car. I haven't driven the car since because I was worried that the window might open again when parked in a public place. I've been checking the windows every day since and they've both been perfectly fine. Then yesterday I had another issue. I left the house in my other car and the windows were both up and seemed to be fully sealed, I returned about 2 hours later and noticed that the driver side window (the side now facing the road) was out of the seal. It was as though the door had been opened and closed again but the window hadn't dropped a bit to get past the frame. Once again, I checked with my folks and they hadn't touched the keys. Both of these incidents occurred in the daytime. Is it possible that both of my window motors are being a bit funky? Has anybody else had similar experiences before? If it's not the window motors, then would it be a stretch to assume that someone is messing with my car?
  4. You might see mine in Leicester every now and then but my brother will probably be driving it. Grey 350z. I've spotted another grey 350z parked up around Evington a few times.
  5. That's cool, I'm not in any rush so I don't mind waiting a few weeks.
  6. I'm interested, I'd need to check if it works with my phone and my brother's phone first though because I'm seeing conflicting reports online. I'm based in Brum, not too far from you so I can pop round and try it out if you don't mind?
  7. I was going to make a topic asking about this car as well. I've been thinking about checking this car, and the other 350z that he's selling as well, has anybody on here bought a car from him before?
  8. I've been considering getting a 350z for a while, but have been put off by the insane quotations I've received from other insurers. Sky Insurance have recently given me a quote that is easily affordable and pretty good value. One of the main reasons I called them or had even heard of them was through browsing this site over the past few weeks. So thanks one and all for bringing me a step closer to getting all aboard the 350Z-train.
