If this is just the standard window motor issue then I apologise for creating this thread.
A few days ago I noticed that the passenger side window on my 2005 350z was fully down even though the car hadn't been used for a day or so. The window was up when I left the house, and down when I returned a few hours later. I checked with everyone in the house and nobody used the car for anything, or had put the window down. I assumed it was just the window motor problem, but when I started the car up the window worked perfectly fine. Just as a precaution, I switched the car around so it was facing the other way (the passenger side normally faces the road), so if it happened again it wouldn't be so easily noticeable for any passer by who fancied messing with my car. I haven't driven the car since because I was worried that the window might open again when parked in a public place.
I've been checking the windows every day since and they've both been perfectly fine. Then yesterday I had another issue. I left the house in my other car and the windows were both up and seemed to be fully sealed, I returned about 2 hours later and noticed that the driver side window (the side now facing the road) was out of the seal. It was as though the door had been opened and closed again but the window hadn't dropped a bit to get past the frame. Once again, I checked with my folks and they hadn't touched the keys. Both of these incidents occurred in the daytime.
Is it possible that both of my window motors are being a bit funky? Has anybody else had similar experiences before? If it's not the window motors, then would it be a stretch to assume that someone is messing with my car?
